It's awesome and hilarious how OWS are trolling large buildings such as the Verizon building with large scale projectors of massive 99% signs and more.

It's also crazy how no media station is covering it like the live streams. It makes it seem totally different, just a glimpse into how much they jade things.

As LightSpeedDriver said above, this guy is a real "Captain America". I am glad to see that more and more people that are known and respected are making their voices heard in this. The OWS protests may be the most pure "American spirit" that I have seen in my long life as We, the People are taking the responsibility of doing something about our country.

If you don't like the way things are, then do something to change it. And they are.

Those hippies may be stupid, but at least they are out smoking drugs and having sex, willing to die for their beliefs.

A lot of people on this website have the same beliefs but are way too chicken to have somebody see them defend those beliefs or talk about it.

I agree totally with the good Captain.

I feel there is no need for Wall Street. We don't need publically traded compaines. If companies need to raise capital they can simply issue bonds.

There should only be privately held companies be the proprietorships like Koch Industries to mom and pop shops on Main Street or employee owned companies or groups of contractors thereof.

Tea Partiers and Occupiers unite against millionaire investors who simply want to make easy money through simply making money with millions on Wall Street Wall Street, I say. A lot of them are millionaire media hacks like Bill O' Reilly and Chris Mathews. That why they promote Mitt and Obama each in their own way. They want their easy money making mechanisms protected. That's all they care about. Neither showed images of the 84 year old grandmother pepper sprayed in Seattle by police during an Occupy demonstration, and that's just one example these millionaire media hacks collude together for their easy money making mechanisms.

If you have the capital to buy a company out right so be it. If employees want to purchase their company so be it. Their party investors need to GO! Don't vote for their politicians like Mitt the Flip and Obama.

Stop the establishment millionaire media complex who enable Wall Street. They are the establishment of both the right and the left. The Bill O' Reilly-s and Chris Mathews-s, The Mitts the Flips and Obama-s. They are the ones who enable Wall Street to function and rip us off cutting off opportunities to most.

Billionaires, Koch-s and Soros etc along with their grassroots movements on both the right and left can unit. We all must as the West and East united during WW2. We can hash out our differences later like the USSR and America did after WW2.

At this point we have to practice "our enemy's enemy is my friend" in the short term.

He was arrested, yes, and this article has a stunning photo of him seated in plastic restraints. I'm so very proud to see him fight back for us all, and the photo speaks volumes.

The dubious "inside job" thing there is pretty lame. Stick to social issues, not disproven underground movements.

OK kiddies here is your token anti-ows post. How does this guy represent the ows again? One person does not represent the movement is that not what you folks have been saying??? As a retired police captain he has the time and freedom to do as he pleases. It does boggle me that so many think that law enforcement is all hugs and smiles with each other. What does his being a retired cop from Philly have to do with anything other than image?

OMG they did arrest him. I watched him live the first night he was out there. He stated that the only possible charge that they could get him on was "Impersonating an Officer." He stated that this would be an outlandish charge though as wearing a police uniform was not considered impersonation. Impersonation requires him to use the authority of an officer, not just wear a uniform. I agree. I saw several police uniforms being worn on Halloween. We should round up all them 10 year olds too if this is the standard. I suppose if someone dressed up as Bin Ladin they would get shot by the police.

Lol.... NOT! Obviously not, we have this guy who is obviously not any of those things as well a pretty big showing of military veterans. Only the gullible who don't think for themselves believe the above statements.

Yes, though many think it is a set up or funded by the 1% (which I don't doubt some of them have, it still makes them money!), the good seeds heavily outweigh the bad, but the MSM focuses on the latter instead.

This guy is an idiot. OWS is not about using corporation products, it is about corporations running our government and getting immunity of their illegal actions. Where laws are written for a corporations benefit, and huge corporations pay hardly no taxes on their income. It is not about buying a pizza from dominoes, or using a cell phone, a computer, or any other product manufactured by a corporation. It is about how government bends over for corporate interests ignoring the 99% that the government ignores.

Capt Ray Lewis maybe a retired cop, but by wearing the uniform he is making himself a target. On the face of it, he has guts and integrity. The world could use a hell of a lot more guys like this.

I agree. I think every retired cop that still has their uniform should show up (in uniform) in protest of his arrest. I would love to see them arresting 100 people all dressed up as officers. What this Captain did was make these cops realize they are just a tool of the powerful corporate interests. They should have stood down from the orders to arrest him. I have no doubt they were ordered to arrest him, by those in charge. The street officers probably did not make this decision.

That arrest was a shameful display, and seeing this picture of the former captain in restraints makes me ill. This is how we know that we've lost our way, and yet people still deny. Mind boggling.

That Lewis seems like a pretty cool guy, maybe he should run for political office. It would be nice to have some honest poloticians.

I enjoyed the video until I saw the end where he spoke about homeless people vs. a dirty park
that was a stupid remark
it was an irresponsible comment by an otherwise intelligent guy
it implies that the movement is impossible without dirtying a park like crazy, I mean come on man

otherwise nice video
