What I find MOST astonishing is that hypocrisy didn't ruin Al Gore's career, and it won't ruin Moore's, I'm sure.

Michael Moore makes his money honestly, he creates films, people choose to pay to see them and buy them. He is not taking advantage of or manipulating the system.

If you worked or made films and your income made you a millionaire.. would you donate all of it to charity and live in a 2 bedroom apartment with your family? I highly doubt you would.

You should research his charity work and donations.

Since when do we condemn people for spending the money they earned in the way they want to? Should every successful person not spend their money? Should everyone live in the same size house? People don't want to support OWS because they think it has some socialist or communist agenda.. yet they criticize people like Michael Moore for their association to it because he's not living like he's in a socialist or communist country?

I agree with you. Michael Moore made his money exposing corruption and hypocrisy in America...he brought a lot of awareness to many through his films. He made some good money...and I say good for him!

I never liked that guy. Most of his so called 'documentaries' have been proven to contain fake and staged footage, out of context things. He's CNN for conspiracy theorists, who more often than not are as stupid as the 'sheeples' they make fun of.

The 1% Produce Nothing of Value....

The Fundamental Difference between Michael Moore and the Bureaucrats and 1% is that Moore produces something of value in his documentaries and in educating the public.

Whereas the 1% contribute nothing of value but only take from the working public in the form of taxes and banking fees for example.

Michael Moore doesn't threaten the public with jailtime if they don't pay to go to see his movies.

The Bureaucrats certainly do threaten you with violence and/or jailtime if you don't pay them their demands for part of your wages (called income taxes) or their Banking fees.

Your Bank will extort your money from you in the form of penalties and fees and even ruin your credit rating if you refuse to pay them.

Michael Moore doesn't hold a gun to anyone's head to view his movies.

Granted Michael Moore does own a nice home to show for his work but relatively speaking we also pay our political blood sucking leaches called Politicians quite well for doing what ?

Only Making more laws to extract more money from those that work and produce something of value in order to support the Bureaucratic system run by those who do not produce anything of value ?

This is the basis of the attacks upon people such as Moore simply because he speaks the Truth about those that don't want to hear it or have the TRUTH revealed.

Until Moore is the COE of a bank selling fraudulent mortgage backed securities, crashing the economy, then taking tax dollar bailouts to assign himself a record bonus, he is not the 1%

None of us can pretend to know what's in someone else's heart and mind. Michael Moore could have ulterior motives, he may want to piggyback onto OWS just to line his pockets with more cash simply through feeding into people's paranoia. Michael Moore did not invent that giant computer game called "Mortgage Backed Securities", neither he played it for a few year accumulating hundreds of millions of dollars in the virtual casino. He didn't quietly kill the Glass-Steagall act, which provided more leverage for the gamblers. And guess what, these gamblers did their gambling with your money. And when the casino went bust, they still kept their ill-gained fortunes.

Anyone who doesn't get this does not have business talking about Moore being in 1% or whatever.

Really. I had to comment. Why are you bashing him at all? Even if he was the 1%, he still is in support of OWS. He showed his face. So much more than, I am sure, any people you "look up to" have done.

Hipocracy would be him calling it baseless and just a bunch of unemployed hippies, and then going and showing support, or vice versa.

People CHOSE to go watch his documentaries, which while deemed "controversial" by the media, are merely subjects that people were unwilling to face before, or simply too afraid to put in the public eye, so as to "disrupt" the status quo

I applaud him for supporting the movement. For realizing his DUTY as an American to restore our country.

BTW 2million mansion... you must not get out much, buddy. I am not from a wealthy family, but my average four bedroom 3 bath two story house is worth around 400k max. I have friends in 2 million houses. Not mansions, houses. Go up to any upper class suburb and you'll be seeing much much more than that. Also, that's a 2 million mansion in MICHIGAN. Not exactly the most expensive state to live in. Lovely state though especially up north, if I had $$$ I'd build me a fortress there.
