Benetton 'Unhate' Campaign Shows World Leaders Kissing

The stunning (albeit photoshopped) images are part of a new campaign by the United Colors of Benetton. Alessandro Benetton, executive deputy chairman, who presented the ads in Paris on Wednesday, said they were meant to promote the idea of "unhate," The Times Of India writes. "The images are very strong, but we have to send a strong message. We are not wanting to be disrespectful of the leaders ... we consider them "conception figures" making a statement of brotherhood with a kiss," he reportedly said.

Benetton hopes the campaign will contribute to the creation of a culture of tolerance and combat hatred

Benneton has been irrelevant for decades already. This campaign is designed to catapult them back into public awareness again. Good luck. If they don't have the product to back this up, they ultimately fail, despite these artsy, "edgy" photoshopped images.

Wow, this is disgusting and funny... Though the pope kissing a muslim will likely incite a new Jihad on the publishers of this.

You do realize that "gay" is another word for stupid, don't you?

So not only is it gay as in stupid, but it is also gay as in homosexual.

So both definitions of gay work for this ad.

Also, just because two men/women kiss in a greeting doesn't mean they're homosexual. That's an instant fail right there.
