I'm assuming you're a Tea Party enthusiast? What is the big plan to liberate America from globalism? We're still waiting.

Repealing Obamacare is a big one for T Party, because that is the single most important factor in increasing our deficit, and also a huge leap into socialism which, if you have been following news lately, isn't exactly working out well for some countries.

I have no quarrel with OWS complaining about evil bankers. Just read Antony Sutton books and you will know what I think of them. But socialism is not the answer, and the OWS kids group is being played by Soros and co.

Greece I think. America is a Republic. Demanding we become a direct democracy just means mob rule. Our Fouding Fathers were wise to make it a Republic.

The history of democracy traces back to Athens to its re-emergence and rise from the 17th century to the present day. According to one definition, democracy is a political system in which all the members of the society have an equal share of formal political power. In modern representative democracy, this formal equality is embodied primarily in the right to vote.

Although it is generally believed that the concepts of democracy and constitution were created in one particular place and time — identified as Ancient Athens circa 508 BCi[›] — there is evidence to suggest that democratic forms of government, in a broad sense, may have existed in several areas of the world well before the turn of the 5th century.[1]

The tablet containing the epic of Gilgamesh.Thorkild Jacobsen has studied the pre-Babylonian Mesopotamia and uses Sumerian epic, myth and historical records to identify what he calls primitive democracy. By this he means a government in which ultimate power rests with the mass of free male citizens, although "the various functions of government are as yet little specialized, the power structure is loose". In the early period of Sumer, kings such as Gilgamesh did not hold the autocratic power which later Mesopotamia rulers wielded. Rather, major city-states had a council of elders and a council of "young men" (likely to be comprised by free men bearing arms) that possessed the final political authority, and had to be consulted on all major issues such as war.[4][5]

The Athenian democracy of Cleisthenes and Pericles, was based on freedom, through the reforms of Solon, and equality (isonomia), introduced by Cleisthenes and later expanded by Ephialtes and Pericles. To preserve these principles the Athenians used lot for selecting officials. Lot's rationale was to ensure all citizens were "equally" qualified for office, and to avoid any corruption allotment machines were used.[48] Moreover, in most positions chosen by lot, Athenian citizens could not be selected more than once; this rotation in office meant that no-one could build up a power base through staying in a particular position.[49

Here is what Papandreou said of the movement

Prime Minister George Papandreou supported the U.S. protests saying, "We fight for changing the global economic system, like many anti-Wall Street citizens who rightly protest against the inequalities and injustices of the system."[221]

Thank you OWS for helping TPTB usher in the age of the One World Socialist Totalitarian govt.

unlawful seizure of one's property and unlawful destruction of that property was unconstitutional.

And isn't this what OWS did with Zuccotti Park?

There's that word again, the buzzword of the UN Agenda 21. Completely transparent to anyone who has studied Agenda 21.

Apologies to you if I implied that you had no moral conscience but I wasn't changing the subject it was a reply to what you said about another member hopping off their moral high horse regarding who should foot the clean up bill.

The point I was trying to make was at what point do we decide that the way our taxes are being spent is immoral? Where do we draw the line and say well I don't agree with my taxes being used for cleaning up their mess....whether it's the banker's mess or the protestor's mess or the stomping around the middle east mess....we all pay whatever the mess. At least the occupy protests are trying give notice that they don't want to pay for the mess anymore. I am not saying that they are going the right way about it but one thing is for sure....voting changes nothing. TPTB are there because they paid for it, not because they were elected. Anyone that thinks different needs to waken up and smell the corruption.

Oh that's just great! They make a huge mess for two months and say you, taxpayers clean it up because we believe in socialism and you taxpayers need to pay up because we are the 99 per cent and though we say we represent you, we say the heck with you you pay for the mess we made because we are mad and we hate you. See, that is the message they are sending.

Welcome to the American police state. Your Constitutional rights are irrelevant, and the law enforcement which you and other Americans pay for will be used to infringe on your rights, arrest you, beat you, and pepperspray you for peacefully assembling.

Sounds fair to me.

Whether or not you're a fan of occupy wall street, I hope you're a fan of the Bill of Rights, because our rights are being trampled on daily.

This is WHY it sounds fair to me. Your right to protest ENDS where my right to travel or go to work begins. Your rights are no more important than mine, and if you intend to trample my rights, you'd best expect to get some trampling right back, plus 10% interest just to let you know I was there.

The girl that is talking in the background of this video is a idiot! They gave them letters telling them exactly what was going to happen to their stuff if they did not remove it, they did not remove it so....... not sure I see the problem here.
Here's the problem:

[color=limegreen]Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or [color=limegreen]abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or [color=limegreen]the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.
It's no big deal though, there are thousands of other occupy protests around the world.

And here's the problem with THAT: congress didn't take action to remove the protestors, New York City did.

They did so to protect the REAL peaceful citizens' rights - you know, the ones going about their daily lives. The First Amendment doesn't say you have a right to harass other citizens in the performance of their daily lives, it says CONGRESS SHALL MAKE NO LAWS prohibiting you from seeking redress of grievances from... GOVERNMENT.

Watching this protest live is the coolest thing ever. Wow, thank you the internet. I wouldn't see the TV. They were serious when they said the revolution wouldn't be broadcasted. It was true. I live in Brazil and we hardly see anything that is going on there in the U.S on TV. It is a shame. Our world is corrupt and I'm glad there are people like me willing to do something about it. Keep going guys. We need to break this stupid, merciless, inhumane system. We cannot take this anymore. We are not tolerating being lied to anymore. The world shall be ours.Occupy Wall Street to Occupy the World, I say. Good job, everyone but the harder is still to come. Watching this is more exciting than TV. And it is LIVE! LoL...

Wow. So as long as you're doing ok screw the rest of the world? Got it. Please don't take your negativity to the Occupies, it's not needed. The governments, specifically, the bank controlled governments of the world, especially America, step all over you every single day. Millions die and starve, right here in the USA, and nothing is done.

But if someone is blocking your easy travel, that's really important?

Selfishness is the real root of all Evil.

Who is harassing the citizen? The POLICE! The OWS is not harassing the citizen at all what utter BS!

They are protesting the banks, Wall Street ... not Joe Shmoe on the street. Your logic is laughable, you are putting a spin on the simple fact of the matter in order to protect th elite, to have King Leonidas as your avatar is also hilarious, change your avatar to Theron (played by Dominic West) as it would suit you... do it ASAP please! You stand there and spill lies to the senate with a fork tongue . You are nothing of the likes of what your avatar represents in your obvious agenda.

OWS = 300 spartans!

You fight for the corrupt senate a lost cause!

King Leonidas: You have many slaves, Xerxes, but few warriors. It won't be long before they fear my spears more than your whips.

Funny how Film and History comes to fruition

Still shilling away i see, your Tea Party propaganda is plain to see, what is it with you tea party folk and your obession with socialism? Everything under the sun is socialism. Dont agree with it, not the shade of color you would paint your room with then it is socialist. There is no proof that Soros is playing a damn thing, i keep hearing this being regurgitated by the Tea Party in it's attempts to make this a political issue. If a Nazi donates money to or funds a charity does that make the charity Hitler youth? You simply are pissed off because OWS has over shadowed the Tea Party in the media... on these forums and elsewhere. A lst ditch effort at your silly pity party.

To call OWS socialist is to call the tea Party a racist group because that is what you TP folks were crying about when the media was airing you out. Look I dont appreciate being called a socialist or being played, as well as the people of OWS in turn. It is unfair and nothing but propaganda. You are playing the devils advocate and contradicting yourselves when the ball is not in your court and the spot light has shifted.

At first i was like... whats with the Anti-OWS hooplah, then noticed it was compromised mostly of Tea Party ? Funny tho i supported the Tea Party's right to peacefully assemble and never played in to any smear campaign against it. I know better, I believe in the constitution and when it comes to some people they seem to think it only applies to them. We will see in the coming months what becomes of all of this win or lose. i will be here to remind you when you contradict yourself "and you will" as I am sure most seem to have a lack of consistency here.

I may not be the first poster to reply to you on this, but yes, there have been other occupation protests that have gone way beyond two months. Here are two that come to mind immediately:

There was the Native American occupation of Alcatraz Island, CA that began in November of 1969 and lasted for nearly two years.

en.wikipedia.org...

And another Native American occupation, this one at Wounded Knee on the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation in South Dakota (led by the American Indian Movement, known as AIM) that began in late February of 1973 and lasted for 71 days.

en.wikipedia.org...

The people of these United States of America have a storied history of occupying locations in protest. The current Occupy movement is in good company!
