Facebook Is Drowning in a Flood of Hardcore Porn

I'm trying to envision a literal "flood of hardcore porn". I'm imagining a wave of 2D videoscreens coming towards you like a tsunami

This may not be related to the problems mentioned in the OP. But, I have sometimes sat and watched the News Feed for public posts. I noticed that many of the people who post pornography videos are in Countries like India and Pakistan and other surrounding areas and many of the people posting are women.

Just a thought but I think it might have to do with some newly found freedoms. People in America are so used to the Internet porn that it's kind of lost it's novelty. We have become desensitized to it many ways.

But maybe to some of these foreign countries the internet porn craze is newer and may have become more widespread lately. Women's sexuality in some areas has been suppressed and maybe they are finding new ways to express themselves on facebook that was not previously available.

Maybe I'm totally wrong about this. But I was surprised at who was posting the porn videos on Faceobook. Not who might think to be your typical internet porn users for sure.

EDIT:

The people I am talking about most likely posted the content themselves because they left comments to their friends. They probably think it's private but didn't use the privacy settings correctly.

Imagine if you will if everybody woke up tomorrow morning and their facebook accounts had been randomly switched.
Everytime you logged in you got full unrestricted and anonymous access to somebody else's account.and some other random untraceable person had your account to play with for as long as they were logged in,and nothing you could do about it. Log out and log in presto someone else's social life to fiddle with.

There were a couple of other offensive videos posted to some of my friends' pages as well. Some was pornographic and some were just gross.

This Justin of whom you speak is as foreign to me as Ron. I think Ron has a somewhat more....meaningful message though. There aren't too many women accusing Ron of fathering their baby either.

I think Dick-Face Book dot Com sounds awesome! (In line with the porn theme of course) It also probably contains the same revenue generating potential as facebook unless you count ads or possibly data mining. Call me a lonely, paranoid sceptic but I never did quite understand how posting personal information on the internet for free did work out as a form of pro-privacy activity. Not to mention I have no friends...

Ill be honest, after seeing this thread I signed back into my facebook page and.... nothing interesting. Had an old friend want to call and some request to join some games. bummer

I do call people I care about, but being on the other side of the world, it is very expensive, and with a very large extended family, it would take up most of my day each day to keep up with all of them. You may be rich, but unfortunately I am not.

But I want to ask the same question I asked before-
In what way does my having a Facebook account and looking at it twice a day to see family news do ANYTHING to YOU? Much less "mankind"??

Now I did read the arguments that there is apparently a lot of cases, especially in the US, of people using it it unwise ways or getting addicted. But the US is a country of extremes and basically anything under the sun can find a large population of abusers and addicts there.

Maybe we should get rid of food, for the good of mankind, because so many americans are obese?

While i have never been a facebook user or advocate of it, I know many who use this site to keep in touch with friends and family, and it makes me very sad that they would have to be exposed to this because of some vendatta towards facebook.

Why punish the users and the innocent ?

If anonymous is behind this, and actually think its ok.. they need to seriously look at themselves . Subjecting many to graphic porn images, especially younger ones.. is NOT FUNNY , and does NOTHING for their cause.

Why aren't these people called out on it? How can they be able to find personal info on so many and lay them and their families out to dry publicly , yet no one can find them? Something is wrong with that picture..and it needs to change .. fast.

I for one am happy to see Facebook finaly getting theirs...

This is nothing new. The /b/ro's have been posting pR0n to facebook just for the lulz for some time now.

I dont know how true this is, because facebook # spreads like wild fire, real or not.

Anyhow, i logged on facebook last night and seen my little sister status saying "I'm going to take a naked picture and upload it because im cock hungy" and this status had around 40+ comments, so i thought wtf she on'about now (shes up her own ass, 1,500 friends on FB and double the amount of pictures, of her self)(facebook inflicted) So when i clicked the link, i realized she was 'joking', she wasnt on'about her self, she was on'about some young girl-around 15/16 years old. Who she thought uploaded a picture of herself, half naked ( bra/thongs) to facebook. . .

All these comment were along the lines of "what a sket/slag" "what a sluut, shes ugly blah blah" And that was just on my sister status. . So I clicked the link, to see the pic and see what all the fuss was about, and the picture really wasnt bad. . Allot of girls take them pictures, but mostly keep them private. So i commented on the picture, which was open for people to share/comment/like, and i told these people to grow the fk up. . And that was that, until this morning.

I logged on to see another friends status which had been liked 40+ times saying that this young girl, who's pictures were all over facebook, we're actually uploaded by her X boyfriend, and because of all the # she's been getting because of this, she killed her self....a 15 year old girl, killed her self because of the evil fkin comments some low, sad little twat, up their own asses groups of young girls and boys left on her comments. .

I went back to my sister facebook page to see if the comment were there, and to try find the link again, but she removed the status and i can not find any trace of this girl other than peoples other status's referencing this same thing about how bad it is.

Facebook makes people love their self, and look down on other people. . . because it easy when you're practically annonymous.

Like i said, i dont know how much of this is true but its all over my facebook. . hopefully somebody else from the Leeds area can validate my story. . such a sad story
