What is this mouse problem you are talking about? Was the game a pirated copy? The pirate copy has bad sound and mouse problems. You have to turn your head, in game, to hear what people are saying

no it's legit my friend bought it and it came with 3 serials. Anyways, smooth mouse is on by default, if you use a controller you won't even notice it, if you use a mouse, it seems slow and laggy and imprecise. I had to ramp up the sensitivity to get it feeling less lame. It's the game and has nothing to do with illegal downloads.

I have not had any sound issues, it detects my 5.1 setup just fine, but I have heard others having issues, like mentioned in this thread, as well as some people getting crashes and having to change the windows sound setup in control panel.

By buying a console port? you can't be serious. If bethesda actually provided a "pc" copy most people would grab it. They didn't. They ported the Xbox 360 copy to pc. Sure, you'll be able to amp the details up more, but it's still an xbox port on pc.

How come some ps3 users are having massive load times and slow downs, while others aren't? Those getting slow loads, are you using the Phat ps3 or the slim?

and don't tell me it's "all the pirates" as the xbox original was hacked early, the 360 has been wide open since launch, and now the ps3 is wide open for pirating.

What's killing pc gaming is the deals made between game developers and hardware designers. What's stopping me from buying BF3 for pc instead of ps3? besides origin, a 400$ video card upgrade. That's right, 1 component upgrade is more than the entire price of a console. Having to continually upgrade is the problem.

The pc market is now a nitch market that caters to the 10% of pc users with "high end rigs", meaning they upgrade yearly. The rest is crappy console ports.

Yes, skyrim looks epic on the pc compared to the consoles, for the 25% of pc owners with the right video card. They rest are treated to the exact same quality as the console versions.

BF3 is a great example. Any video card under 400$ just isn't worth it.

Then besides that, you've got the diversity of hardware, ATI or Nvidia, AMD or Intel, dual core or quad core, high speed density ram or not, solid state drive or mechanical, surround sound, HD sound, stereo sound.

It's literally impossible for a game company to produce a PC game that will "run the same" for everyone.

A console is a level playing field. This generation of consoles is about at it's limit, but the next one will be pretty amazing. and then it will be old, and pc video cards will surpass it, and people will complain about the "death of pc gaming".

If PC gaming is dead, blame it on the developers not actually making pc copies.

I bailed on PC gaming last year when I bought both my kids an all-in-one pc for Christmas. A 23" all-in-one PC with a touch screen monitor was just $600 each. One moderately okay gaming PC would cost $1200 and they take up a huge honking amount of space. That and neither one of them play anything high-end on their PC anyway. Just junk like Minecraft and Facebook games. It's just not worth it to continue fussing with the incompatible graphic cards that goof up part of the game and even if you get one that works great it's obsolete within a year or two. [Or the cooling fan goes out ] Much simpler and enjoyable to just stick with the console for gaming.

The console graphics are more than good enough to totally enjoy the game. I'm sure the frame rate and polygon count would be much nicer on a gaming PC but honestly the game is beautiful on the XBox 360. I don't think I would enjoy it anymore on a PC.

What species and level are you that allows you to pwn giants? I am a Level 11 Reptillian only better looking than the ones that run Wall Street. I have avoided those tall fkers like the plague since the first one sent me flying into the stratosphere but am desperate to get my swerve on with one in battle. I was able to take out an ice troll with my destruction magic with relative ease as well as a sabre cat so I am feeling a little cocky.

You will need some lvling before taking on a gaint. I am currently lvl 35 Nord warrior specialising in one hand, heavy armor, smithing, and restoration. Why the restoration? Because I hardly need to use potions. Infact there is not one single 1 on 1 fight I am scared of any more, only multiple enemies are a threat to me now. With high lvl healing I can just back off and heal up and move back in to finish.

I did take a giant in my low 20's by shooting the heck out of it and then using some boosting potions max out my life and then beat it to death.

It has always worked fine for me but I now know what you mean. My friends wireless mouse died so he plugged in his wired mouse and this problem came up. I could never play like that.

Yes but you have a console and a computer right? How much did you spend on both togethar? Probably the same amount you would spend on a good gaming pc that also does everything else you need in one package.

You do not have to upgrade every year, thats just for picky people like me.

Xbox uses some kind of 7000 series nvidia gpu. The min requirements these days is normally a GT8800 which you could buy for less than the price of a used game and have better performance than a xbox or playstation.

Than plain and simple fact is consoles have taken over and no pc game developer will spend money to make a pc only version that will just be downloaded for free anyways. There are a few exceptions but not very many.

I don't have my rear speakers set up but my center and l/r fronts (and sub) are all fine. But I will have to see if I can find my rear speakers. Maybe it's acting weird because they are not all plugged in. But it's probably my sound card.

I install all my disc'sn the loads aren't that bad. (for Xbox)

Loving the game, was unhappy when I left Lydia in Trevaswatch to die with the enemies i'm not yet strong enough to kill, but amazed when she turned up 10 mins later when I went through a door into Riften. (from the keep in Riften).

I've never played an ES game bafore and I regret that terribly.

Just thought I should give you a heads up that Bethesda does not recommend installing on the Xbox hard drive. It causes problems for the Xbox. If yours is working, thats good, but just wanted to let you know.

The best sound I have gotten out of this game is through my headset. What a difference. I don't understand it but its like an entire different soundtrack when it goes through my headset.

I have offed three dragons so far and I am just about to crest Level 15. As far as the story goes I just figured out how they brought Alduin down but, tio be honest, for me anyway, this game is more about wandering around and killing # and looking at all the cool stuff. I even like readingt the journals. The main quest is kinda secondary for me. in fact when I opreordered it earlier in the year I told myself I would set aside at least a month to six weeks of playing this exclusively. I still have Battlefield 3, rage and Uncharted 3 on deck but I am enjoying the hell out of Skyrim just for the free roaming as[pect of it thus far.

for once i am actually happy that i am unemployed !!! i spent way too much time killing dragons now!!!

I didn't really like oblivion or the other elder scrolls either. skyrim however is phenomenal. I don't know how they fit so much content on one disk.

The load times aren't bad on xbox, if you are used to fallout it is the same.

at least you can move the images during load....something to do.

the biggest challenge is figuring out which mission to do next. I think i must have 30 to choose from.

Worst thing about the game is the companion AI. As a magic user, my companion gets hit with more of my magic than the enemy

i suppose it's a good thing that i can't find my housecarl lydia anymore

great game.

If you are looking for a challenge you should try "Dark Souls" Amazing game and one of the toughest around. very frustrating, but very rewarding as well.

the reason i got skyrim was because i needed a break from the horrors of dark souls !!!

Well I just got my platinum trophy for skyrim last night on ps3, talk about having no life lol..... I figured I'd get that all out of the way till they get those patches out after thanksgiving, I don't think I'll be able to pick it up again till the framerate issues are fixed...... Then all I have to do is wait for the DLC to be released, then wait another month after xbox gets theirs first and that sucks.....

Loving the game, stuck at work at the moment.
I'm level 16 and only just able to kill Dragons.
I'm a Woodelf handy with one handed weapons and magic.
I'm still unsure if I want to become a werewolf and haven't been back to the underforge since they asked me.

Don't worry, you can easily cure yourself but you must become a werewolf to move on in the companions quests. I to was not thrilled to have to become a werewolf, but as I said its not forever if you don't want it to be.

Yes it works fine, I have to install my games because I go through laser readers like no-bodies business, I need to make it easier on the laser reader.

I've just recently had my third one put in it. It seems to be the next biggest problem after RRD which is rare nowadays.

Wow, MW3 has so much dust on the cover it looks old.
Skyrim may be the best game i have ever played.
so different from the previous games but still the same amazing game.
oh and jumping from a tower to kill a dragon doesn't work.

I love the fact that you found an oppertunity to try.

Shame though, I wanted at some point in the game to be on a dragons back stabbing away at his spine while he soars through the air.

i tried with the first dragon by whiterun.
im lvl 47 now and still haven't done many missions at all, just running around exploring getting shouts.
never thought id use the bow so much but its too good not to use.
lvling up my enchanting now to make my dragon armour even more badass.
