No it's just common sense. People who steal out of need are going to avoid violence and likely just steal what they need when they have the
opportunity shoplifting etc.
RIght,,, i have read these four pages.....
By your definition the person who stole the sword did not do it out of Need, they stole an item of value, essentially that would be near impossible to
get rid of without traveling a few towns/cities/states over, for the suggested $350 this seems like an excess amount of work for a tiny return!
So we have cleared up that chances are this was a theft of want rather than need as it wasnt for food, for somthing of high monetary value that can be
sold, it was for the specific Item, most likley for fame. or too feed a habit which you dont seem to see as a NEED.
Now theft as a whole is wrong, im not saying through the right sequence of events if needs must and i had expended all my other avenues i wouldnt
steal to survive, i however would be entirley convinced that this is infact wrong, if someone has worked, traded, bartered even Begged for an item it
is there, i have no right to take it from them as this would then insinuate i am more entitled to that thing than them, which i am not.
people steal out of need... i will give you there are diffrent levels of need.. there is the convinced you need somthing, there is
chemically/physically/mentally you need somthing (drugs, alchol, gambling etc) then there is the need for fundemental survival products... stealing
for any of these reasons can in no way be justified, i repeat i understand the mentality of people who do it when there seems to be no other option, i
feel this has been caused by the very mentality you are defending...
if you expect someone to steal, you are much less likley to invite the needy into you house, to feed and dress them... essentially society has became
its own worse enemy . now society generally can always justify there theft as a "need" so its now always justified to steal if you can justify the
theft to yourself?
