They are explaining, that some people were beating up/arguing/fighting a protester and the protester was tazed?

They just took it back,saying that no one has been tazed. But before that they said he was arrested after being tazed.... I guess they are getting mixed messages about that one.

So, for the sake of both sides, I hope this is right and that it was just a rumor.

A guy representing a socialist movement is talking now. He is the only guy I have seen that they aren't using the human mic for. Seriously, the only one.

Yeah, they said that a guy there antagonizing the protesters started a scuffle with a protester and the guy (not the protester was arrested).

Let's see, you said the evictions starts at 3 am Eastern time, so I guess we have about an hour and ten minutes ( At the time of this post)

I am going to get a quick shower, check in with the girlfriend and be back....

..... I am getting an overwhelming ( And sad feeling) that this is going to become violent. I hope I am wrong.

Exactly, that should be a good clue to those who are throwing such accusations around, that it is a socialist movement.

I too hope that things don't turn violent there in Portland, or anywhere else for that matter regarding OWS. Unfortunately the logical side of me says that this is unlikely. Police and protestors both need to exercise restraint as best they can.

Where there are people, there are crimes.

Where there are determined protesters en masse hell bent on making this country a better place for all, well you get the point...

Well, it's just the way I look at things like this. I take a sort of Martin Luther King Jr. Stand point. Non Violent resistance as opposed to violent reaction.

And it should be a sort of...odd testament to just how well non violence can work, when people such as MLK are looked upon as such a threat, that some felt the need to end his life with violent means.

In the end, nonviolence overcame violence and because of this, we made great advances in civil rights.

That is just my humble opinion though, and there are those who disagree.

As for my sig. Thanks. It was a thought I had years ago, while discussing philosophy and life.

Anyway, here is to remaining peaceful, even in the face of violence.... And let's hope that neither side, become violent.

I honestly don't know. I admit I have not kept enough enough to know whether or not they could be used. Hmm, now I am wondering if they are allowed there or if it is an act of defiance. Probably they are allowed there, but again, I don't know
