It would indeed appear so my friend and thanks. Been lurking for awhile now....decided to start popping in to add my 2 cents. I feel im a rare breed when it comes to this kind of stuff. I ask a lot of questions and Im pretty good at seeing things connect.

Im one of the more "logical" that believe in what I believe I suppose. IDK but Im hoping to spread some reality. Well see. lol

Seeing kids the age of 15 sitting around playing their PC games envisioning their world take over b/c they might sorta have a little bit of lineage somewhere down the line to some greek guy that had the same name as another one who lead armies to battle is kind of funny but meh....he is 12 or 15 or whatever anyway right? Let him have his fun.

Younger Americans being made to believe in a cause, an agenda and demands that were never theirs to begin with... Used and ultimately discarded in a wasted effort, that will not let them go until the bitter, and possibly violent end.... What, and who do they really serve, and to what end ultimately?

The possibiliities are TRUELY ENDLESS and so is the paranoia. When the Tea Party had front and center all was well and protesting was encouraged. Now that the movement started abroad in the middle east(or spain) somehow it is sinister.

Unless the whole globe becomes a bunch of ultra right wing lunatics, "yes sir" corporate worshipers, lets nuke iran warmongers some people will by unhappy. Tough luck fellas. Suck it up like a good christian and turn the cheek so I can slap you again.

It is truly unfortunate that you want to kill the thread because people disagree in a way you don't like. People are passionate about this and it's finally something worth being passionate over.

The overall point to these protests is important. Government does not respect the people whatsoever. Peaceful means will do NOTHING. Violence or better yet the THREAT of violence from large enough gatherings will bring about change more effectively than anything else.

The trouble is getting the change necessary without crossing so far over the line that things turn into all out anarchy and you lose all law and order. To me, it's ABSOLUTELY worth the price, because without some basic freedoms TAKEN back, what's the point.

If you're not willing to fight for what's important, then stay the hell out of the way.

The “Occupy” movement, whether displaying itself on Wall Street or in the streets of Oakland (which has, with unspeakable cowardice, embraced it) is anything but an exercise of our blessed First Amendment. “Occupy” is nothing but a pack of louts, thieves, and rapists, an unruly mob, fed by Woodstock-era nostalgia and putrid false righteousness. These clowns can do nothing but harm America.

“Occupy” is nothing short of a clumsy, poorly-expressed attempt at anarchy, to the extent that the “movement” – HAH! Some “movement”, except if the word “bowel” is attached - is anything more than an ugly fashion statement by a bunch of iPhone, iPad wielding spoiled brats who should stop getting in the way of working people and find jobs for themselves.

This is no popular uprising. This is garbage. And goodness knows they’re spewing their garbage – both politically and physically – every which way they can find.

This is what happens when the left side of the nation "protests" They break laws, are vile, can't "peaceably" assemble. It's all just "look at me! look at me!" and the end result is so predictable.

Don't worry if the people bashing the protesters and others who respond to things by posting videos get their way, we'll live in a 1984 world on steroids. They're either useful idiots or unworthy of the freedom given to them, in either case I have no use for you and thankfully there is a growing number that agree.

What I find noteworthy is this:

I teach at a state university. When I go to see the Dean of LAS (Letters, Arts & Sciences, if you're not familiar), I have to walk down a hallway of history/psych/lit prof's offices. Their doors are covered with peace signs, "close gitmo" "save the manatee" "PETA" stickers, "BUS IS EVIL!" "celebrate diversity!" "diverse celibacy!" on and on and on.

When I return to the engineering building, all the math/engineering/comp-sci/physics profs doors are covered with: "turn in your HW here."

Freedom of expression, and freedom of speech carry with them responsibility for what is expressed and spoken. The first amendment doesn't give you the right to be vile and commit crimes.

In all honesty, I was just reading this thread for the entertainment value, watching all the Bantam roosters strutting around, puffing their chests out and crowing just like they thought they were big roosters.

I was particularly amused by the tactical wizard who fancied himself the reincarnation of Alexander. He must have studied Alexandrian Tactics out of comic books. The plan he developed, if executed in the real world, would result in a whole lot of hurt alright - just not for the ones he was aiming at. My grandmother could have a mob employing his "strategy" handcuffed within 15 minutes, even while they were still choking and puking all over themselves.

Like I said, I was just reading for amusement, and hadn't intended to participate at all.

THEN came the post I responded to. In the midst of all the false bravado of chest thumping and saber-rattling, THAT guy is real. He means it, and I believe has already been involved in some of the "organization" efforts to promote the violence, unless I miss my guess.

In a sea of emotional wannabes and posers, hooting and chest thumping,one serious man stood up, and I addressed his post. That one I can respect as a worthy adversary, and it will be a pleasure to meet him in the field. I can't even say that I disagree altogether with his ideology.

The rest? They will fall like wheat before the scythe.

I am supposed to feel offended? Normally I don't slap people cause its "girlish" if you know what I mean. I am a bit militant as I own three guns and lots of ammo. I can shoot 60 yards relatively on mark but hey I am no sniper. Maybe I will perfect that later on though.............
