You have to keep in mind that this date is tracked by the Gregorian calendar put forth by a human. Before the use of any calendar, they used the stars, moon, and sun to tell time. Once they started to see patterns with the sun rising every day (and we're talking about early man) they placed significance with it.

You see? We put significance to a pattern just because it happens.

We also think it's more rare for one date to happen than it is for another date. Do you really think 11/11/11 is more rare than 10/09/08? or 04/24/1673? They are all just as unique as the next.

The two seconds that just passed are so rare that you'll never fully understand and you just let them go. This is why I like to ask people what the best possible gifts would be to give to someone and the answer is your time because they are infinitely special and you'll never get it back.
