You made a huge boob, by claiming that the vast majority of British Muslims who echo the social views of British non-Muslims, do so only because of teachings from Islamic scholars.

They're ''damned if they do, damned if they don't'', with people like you.

You've got to realise that your reactionary, pre-conceived beliefs make you the perfect reflection of the Muslim radicals that you claim to detest so much.

Your fear and prejudice towards the ''alien'' Muslims just drips off your posts. Relax. Take a deep breath, and you'll thank me later for the advice.

I didn't do anything of the sort. But yes, *all* Islam is guided by their religious leaders and scholars.

That's not my opinion, that's an Islamic pillar of religiosity.

This poll was conducted amongst the British public, as a whole.

You can carry on quoting about 12% of Muslims say this, 10% of Muslims say that. But, when this poll indicates that at least 20% of Britons believe that it's acceptable for a man to beat his wife or girlfriend, then why are you focusing on smaller percentages of Muslims supposedly supporting something else obnoxious ?

You are just a classic Islamophobe, who is so consumed by fear and dislike, distrust or hatred towards Muslims, that you can't see the wood for the trees.

When I posted poll results showing British Muslims overwhelmingly supporting generally accepted social norms in England, you said, ''So they support largely the things that are specifically outlined as being okay by their scholars....but not an iota more.''

So, when British Muslims support the same values which most other non-Muslim Britons also support, you attempt to claim that the Muslims are nothing more than brainless drones who parrot the teachings of Islamic scholars.

If it makes you feel any better, in Toronto two people were arrested for disrupting a Remembrance Day Ceremony. One seems to be on something about how the government treats Vets, and the other just looks like he was drunk. You can see them escorted away by a white soldier and a black RCMP officer. Good on'em.

In my line of work I deal with a lot of Muslims, quite often on a daily basis. My local taxi company has mostly Muslim employees, I go all over the country and encounter these people (can't think of a better word here tbh) all the time. None of them harbour the sentiments that we see from the group members known as the Muslims against Crusades.

Seriously none of em do. The media makes them out to be worse than they are, Every single Muslim I've met in the last 8 years has been sound as a pound. Nearly all of em just want to live a normal life, raise their kids and live as we do. There are some secular places but these are remote, It's political Correctness which is the biggest enemy here. It is seriously destroying this country, Think about it. Remember when they said hot cross buns would offend minorities, it wouldn't really. It's the left wing PC do gooders saying it publicly in the press and then the majority of people get the hump and blame it on foreigners, most issues that we hear about don't actually bother any minorities at all, it's the left wingers that think it will and it enrages the rest of the people, mostly those that believe everything they read,

Political Correctness needs to be eradicated from this country, it doesn't do any of us any good. Once it has then we can all live together in harmony. (I am a bit drunk right now and this makes sense to me so apologies if it makes no sense to any of you lmao) x

And I still don't embrace Islam, and I don't embrace the political agenda. Its that simple.

I like my MIL too - and she can still stick it with her Christian Dominionist bs.

The anger in this thread is not directed towards respectful citizens such as yourself. It is justifiably directed towards those who choose to ridicule the most significant memorial event in the UK, US, and Canada to promote an agenda that has absolutely no relevance to Remembrance Day.

I hear you and it's a growing trend. It seems nothing is sacred to these people and they will latch onto any ideology that they can find.

These thugs are the same bunch of people who will attend the likes of OWS and pollute the message by causing havoc through violence.

Unfortunately it's all blurred now for some people and they usually don't care to find out the facts. Instead you have people taking all of their frustration and anger (which is as a result of being let down by their own leaders) and venting it onto anyone and anything (where groups like EDL and MAC see opportunity to indoctrinate more hatred).

I am absolutely prejudice in favour of Western democracies, Human Rights, Civilian Rights as they are currently defined. Not as they are defined by Islam. Not as they are defined by ANY sect of Islam.

I will feel free to be prejudice against Islam's political ideology. Just as I will challenge any other religion that is following a distinct course to direct politics from a pulpit. And I have all my life challenged them on it.

I can put together a long list of things wrong with democracy and I challenge you to say that it is any better, at best they are equal (We are human after all).

My long post as you like to call it, is to explain myself so I don't leave any room for doubt and ignorance. I don't need a pass because I am the master of my own fate but I would simply advise you to do some actual research and talk to real Muslims who live everyday lives, who do give a damn about democracy and can see their religion fitting into their lives.

Those figures then include not just UK "native," but everyone including immigrants and Muslims.

And they get no support from the law, nor the general public, nor their religious leaders.

AND are you comparing statistics about political Islam to men who beat their wives? That seems like an odd choice don't ya think?

Judging by the numbers of Muslims, and people of other races and creeds, who have emmigrated to the UK, and continue to do so, who have integrated into and benefitted British society and who have become a success in every single aspect of British society suggests that we British are indeed a most tolerant and welcoming people and nation.

Oh, and yet again....I really don't know why it's so hard for you Americans to understand - it's Great Britain or the UK, not just England!
