Didn't you know that the only evil and aggression in the world comes out of America and Americans?

It's just the way it is man. The world was a peaceful place until we showed up.

According to history it was actually much...much...MUCH less peaceful.

Before I answer, clarify attack.

I know where you are going with this thread, as does everyone else.

For example, are you including proxies? Are you including defensive? Are you including assistance?

Please clarify what exactly you want, instead of painting with a broad brush.

Apparently not.

Seems English is not the first, second, or third language.

Iran has attacked nobody for 100 years.................

Iranian Embassy siege

The Iranian Embassy siege took place from 30 April to 5 May 1980, after a group of six armed men stormed the Iranian embassy in South Kensington, London.

The hostage-takers, members of a group campaigning for the autonomy of Iran's Khūzestān Province, demanded the release of Arab prisoners from jails in Khūzestān and their own safe passage out of the United Kingdom.

The hostage-takers and their cause were largely forgotten after the Iran–Iraq War broke out later in 1980, but the operation brought the SAS to the public eye for the first time and bolstered the reputation of Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher.

Sounds like Iranians to me.......

The hostage-takers were members of the Democratic Revolutionary Front for the Liberation of Arabistan (DRFLA)—Iranian Arabs protesting for the restoration of regional autonomy to the Iranian province of Khūzestān, also known as Arabistan.

I don't know if the statement of 100% is entirely accurate whether the seige was state sponsored I don't know. But I will say we have got our hands dirty a number of times. Does Iran deserve to be bombed into the stoneage? No! Nobody does.

You're right, it seems Russia supplied them with a lot, but so did we...

Oh aye, I'm opposed to going to war with Iran, or any country for that matter. Unless it really is torturing and killing thousands of innocents, then fair game (I don't mean Iran, any country in general).

This whole thing with Iran is about control, and it stinks.

But my response was to the OP ridiculous claim that Iran hasn't got its hands bloody for 100 years.

I've never denied that fact.

But simply throwing that out there with no historical context gives the wrong impression. Just like this whole thread. Context is everything. It was in the height of the Cold War. Both sides were supplying all these countries with weapons in an attempt to sway them to either the Eastern Communist bloc or the West.
