Proved it!
I knew that no-one would want to do this.
And that, basically, is why we are crap.
Uh.... I stayed silent because I didn't want to be the one that brought the obvious up.
For some of us these kinds of acts are
normal as in everyday acts done without any feeling of moral superiority or pride, because they are just
the acts of
living.
Pointing that out would kinda be like pointing out someones faults or weaknesses in front of a crowd, so I shut up.
But since you have no problem with dishing that out, I can assume you can take it as well.
The fact that you even thought of this as a "challenge" or a novel idea tells lots about you and the way you live, and that the crap.....well such
harsh self judgement is unreasonable, I think. Instead of just putting yourself down as if you can't help it because you are inherently crappy
(that's an excuse) you could just acknowledge and recognize you've not been doing these things, or if you do, it is to feel morally rightious, and
simply choose again!
Do otherwise! Don't waste time with moral judgement and name calling!
Maybe you live in an urban area, where isolation is harder to avoid, and community network and support is NOT the norm- so answer that challenge and
see if you can overcome it!
I live in a small rural town, where we have to depend upon each other, and to do otherwise is not conceivable.
I'm off now to bring my extra pears to the neighbor, who helped us a build a wall last week, and to visit a friend who is going through a hard time,
bring some dried bread to another friends farm for the animals, and some childrens books in english to my daughter who is giving free english tutoring
to the kids of a friend of ours.
Everyone is leanign on each other and giving. That's living!
