I live about an hours drive south east of the city on top of a hill. Moments ago a massive thunderstorm passed over. There was a lot of lightning,
lots of pretty big hail-stones, the sky went a lot darker as if it were an hour later. After the storm passed over I looked at the trailing edge of
the storm. OH MY GOD. There was probably at least ten flashes of lightning coming from that storm every second. The sound was INCREDIBLE. It is like a
continuous roar of thunder. Like a fighter jet engine. And it lasted 15 minutes.
Almost as impressive as a space shuttle launch to be honest.
Since my computer was unplugged and my laptop doesn't have a microphone, unfortunately I wasn't able to film it. I'll try to find some videos on
youtube or whatever.
Anyone else caught up in this? Any similar experiences?
