I was watching a live broadcast (podcast thing???) & they said another close fly by approximately 9PM EDT.
And they were saying that it should become more "illuminated" as the night goes on.

Haven't seen it yet!

I have been watching the 'puter and sneaking outside on & off looking for that stinking asteroid.

Okay now AU distance # is counting up, which means moving away. At least according to the reliability of Stellarium and wherever they get their data.

Well, that was painless! It's fun to watch these asteroids. I wonder how we'd deal with a closer one. Maybe try to push it away? Hmm, maybe attach a solar sail early enough to it and over time its course would be adjusted. Just a thought. Getting a solar sail into orbit would be feasible and then unfurl it after somehow connecting it to the object. Well anyway, using this concept, it logically makes sense to track them early.
