Apology accepted.
The next potential impact is 30 years from now.
But I am sure as I write this that there will be another one showing up within a year that will doom us all.

Mockrock alone had at least five different topics regarding 2005 YU55 impacting. Not to mention all of the people in these threads who bought in to the concept of an impact.

Yes, but he's promised to seek mental health treatment after tomorrow.

I can think of a couple other ignant folks who should be posting apologies.

Oh, sorry. I meant "ignorant."

They have the asteroid timer for 2 hours and 53 minutes from now.

I thought it was in 22 minutes. All I see is a Lunar Eclipse. Am I missing something I should click on?

No you're not. This is just as annoying as the doom n gloom threads.

If OP really wanted vindication, they would round up user names with links to the posts, and just say "these people were wrong". Now that's a valuable idea. It gives other members the opportunity to say "Hey, this is a thread authored by one of those fear mongers, I think I'll skip this thread".

Demanding an apology is just trolling.

It'd be nice to think people would be man enough to apologise but I don't see it happening too often.
Either way, the doomer brigade list has considerably increased just lately.

@SLOOH:
Asteroid show #2 will begin at 6:00 PM PST - 02:00 UTC - we are pulling a feed from AZ - Also, we may have Dr. McMillan back as a guest.

I know people claimed there would be an impact, but there wasn't much talk of it being THE END OF THE WORLD!

I usually don't delve into the fear-monger threads, but with a tiny bit of reading I found that even if it did hit, it wouldn't be too tragic. The thing doesn't seem to be that big...

On another note, I 100% confirmed the key ingredient and culturing process for making a Philosopher's Stone!

Thanks.

For some reason I thought it was supposed to pass at 6:28 pm EST, not PST.

I wasn't planning on staying up that late but it should be worth it to see it live.

Do you even know how to read?

I clearly said 'and they weren't what I call fear-mongering'!!!

Is English not your first language?

I'm sitting on top of a mountain in N. Ga. It's 6:20 here now....I'm going to go outside and watch just in case, lot of stars, I'm above the low laying clouds here.....if I see nothing, I'll watch later again.....

Off to grind some French Roast beans, yup...it's gonna be one of those nights.
