I done a search but all I could find were threads of the older Asimo robot...

Honda has updated the Asimo robot, it now runs, hops on one leg, can jump, walk over uneven terrain and pour drinks.

Looking back at the older one:



It fell going up the stairs fast forward to 2011:



Amazing when it pours the drink it looks like something straight outta starwars!

I think the time is coming where humanoid robots are no longer a novelty they are quickly becoming something that has a practical use.

HAHA cheers for that! the youtube video on that page they are so amazed at the simple tasks it performs, just shows how far we have come.

thats awesome. things keep getting closer and closer. the one thing id like to see is maybe improving on not relying on having only human mechanics. like how he opened the bottle. its a great show but it would have been more efficient if his fingers could have moved in a way so his wrist could just rotate like a drill. cool stuff ether way.
