Hello ATS,

Just thought I would have a little fun and put together a countdown clock for the collision of YU-55 for those who think it might hit earth. Might as well go down partying!

Astroid Collision Countdown Clock

Thanks for sharing the link

you know if we had to go to its be sucky if it was one of these giant Asteroid's that took us out.!

It would be a slow death for the people ouside the impact zone.

I would perfer a gamma ray burst out of a super nova or a black hole , a quasar! or even a pulsar quick one time flash. lol

But yea i wouldn't put

"Fortunately for us, Asteroid 2005 YU55 will miss an Earthly encounter by 0.85 lunar distance, or approximately 208,000 miles (335,000 kilometers"

news.discovery.com...

w/e im good with that. lol

The Earth has been hit by Asteroids several times in the past and life manages to continue in one form or another.

Will we be able to see it with the Naked Eye?

It's small anyway and if it did hit it would hit water so not a big concern I am more worried about a solar event that will fry the electrical grid. I feel this could spookily link to the end of the Myan Callander as this would be the end of a cycle and plunge us into darkness and rioting for several months, that's the only real end of world type scenario I would hang my hat on

Sigh.. And when YU55 passes the Earth, the crazy people on ATS are going to look for another doomsday prediction.. Just so they can get their posts up.

Theres more chance of me tripping through a mind time warp in order to see YU55 pass by without incident and me being able to return trip and confiming that it did so.

But if I could then that would surely be the outcome anyway.

So not point in any countdown.

Next prediction thread..............because they just keep on coming!

Thanks for reply...Unfortunately being a conspiracy theorist means that you have to consider it might be possible that governments and or news corps could be lying to you. It is just something that happens sometimes.. especially when it is something that could cause mass panic. Maybe they are not 100% sure.. Maybe they show a 1 percent chance that it will hit earth and they think it is better to risk lying to the public then cause mass panic. Just look at radiation and Japan. That is why people are here, to question these situations. And yes the world keeps living after asteroid hits but it has been proposed by scientist that one caused the end of the dinosaurs, albeit a much larger asteroid. Yes.. it is a small asteroid as they come but I promise you that it hitting the earth would change the world even if it was just the perception of what is possible and what humanity should be focusing on.. it would likely be one of the biggest stories of our time. And no.. I do not have a aluminum hat on thinking that the world is ending tomorrow.. but I thought it would be fun to put together a little site so people can have a little countdown clock like New Years Eve and maybe take some time to reconsider what is important in their lives as many people do on New Years Eve. Relax and stop being so negative and have a party! Peace

I actually base that more on the consistincy of there version of near earth objects and there orbits , dates , and visual by naked eye or not.

They seem to have a pretty good record.

vs you know you doomsayers who have yet to hit one date...

I don't accept nor reject news so easily like you might do , i take it into consideration and form my own opinion baed on history , consitency , accuracy , etc .

sure they might lie about the last one , but i know their are thousands of rookies who are into the game , and with todays tech , with the internet could easily draw their own conclusions and show with science and supporting data to paint me the picture if it were to hit ....

unless there all on it also?
