The video is provided by conserARTive.com. Kind of makes you wonder...

Must have been a photoshopped old lady then?

Well that's at least a better source. It still doesn't make it anything more than an accident.

So that makes it alright???

The mentality of OWS is sinking even lower than I thought it ever could.

They didn't push her! Watch the video before commenting lest you make a mockery out of yourself. Cheers

Can you please point out who pushed her? Someone? Anyone? Please?

Who wears high heels to a protest rally?

There should be an age limit on high heels. Old lady was risking a hip injury wearing those.

I can't see where anyone pushed her.

Well, but it does make it something more than an accident, though. The headline is

Occupy Wall Street 'injure elderly woman at conservative dinner'

with the quotation marks in the original headline, meaning - what? That was something that somebody said? In the article itself, the argument in the headline and sub-header ("An elderly woman leaving a conservative dinner in Washington was knocked to the ground and injured by activists aligned with the "Occupy Wall Street" movement") is never defended or even mentioned. There's no explanation of, or investigation into, whether this was an accident or a deliberate act. Yet the headline claims to know the truth... so I'd argue that "making it into something more than an accident" is exactly what they've done - just a little more elegantly than Fox News did...

I truly hope so.

But with all the hate against conservatives and Koch Bros. It wouldn't surprise me if it wasn't.

Go watch the video in this article, start at 2:25...same incident.

hotair.com...

Watch the guy with long hair blocking the stairs, he appears to fall and the lady in this thread's video falls and so does another women at the top of the stairs.

The video also shows protestors getting yelled at by an angry mom for them harassing her little kids...blocking an SUV from going through an intersection...and two others getting hit by a car they tried to block.

But Yeah...I guess two old ladies just randomly fell at the same time and the angelic OWS protestors did nothing wrong

PUSHING OLD LADIES GOT TO GO

I would be proud to stand and chant this with you. I think it would be a big hit at OWS protests, if it hasn't become a chant already. I don't think the video shows maniacs pushing anyone down a flight of stairs, but I still think you came up with a great chant, and one we should all be able to get behind.

Now let's hear all the justifications from the OWS supporters.

Not to mention there is video of this same event showing another older lady pushed down and protestors pushing a man holding a baby.

I also like how the mob doesn't even care...they just keep on with their chanting.

These are classy folks...I have no idea why I don't support them

Is that so? Please do share. I assume that your source is from a more reputable source than a youtube channel dedicated to made-up "gotcha" fauxes, right?

Edit: Oh, there it is. Okay, so, few things on your article.

1) There was a sexual assault in Zucoti park. The perpetrator was apprehended. Someone requested a "safety tent" and so, now there's a safety tent. What, should the response to such a request be "lol, no?" 'Course not.

2) I see two ladies who fell. The people around these two seem to be men in suits. The protestors realize falls have heppened and either step back to give space or, in at least two cases, move to help, it seems. While the falls could have been cuased by the press of the people in the area, I don't see any sign of it being assault - granted, neither video is focused on it.

3) I DO see an employee of the building committing assault. And then the attempted vehicular homicide. Sorry, buddy, "they slowed me down" is not acceptable cause for attempted murder.

Your video doesn't show anyone knock the woman down at the 2:30 (+/-) mark. She was surrounded by security before she fell and afterwards, so I guess it shows OWS was in the wrong again, right? Seems like elderly people are having trouble standing on their feet around security and escorts at these rallies.

NOTE TO ELDERLY: Stay away from authorities at Protests. They will, through their own agendas and/or clumsiness, knock you down.

It truly amazes me that you can interpret-ate this event the way you do. It's obviously completely initiated by the security guy in the suit as I mentioned before.

I think someone contacted you right after you opened the below topic I guess.

in 1776 a gaggle of colonies demanded independance....
2011- a gaggle of losers demand complete dependance on their federal government.
Don't try to compare the two.

As opposed to the gaggle of dunces who think that business will self-regulate and make everyone wealthy?

Okay

If you read the article she wasn't really expecting to be at a rally, and therefore we can give her a pass on the footwear in my opinion. I still don't think she was pushed intentionally and from the video I can't really see her being pushed at all.

Gee...I wonder why she needed to be surronded by people in suits??? Could it be that a MOB was blocking the doors and the stairs??? I guess you miss the guy blocking the stairway...huh???

And the "attempted vehicular homicide"...yeah...it wasn't. The guy didn't even get a ticket because he was going through a GREEN LIGHT as the protestors stepped in front on him to try to block him. However the protestors did get ticketed for not obeying traffic/pedestrian signals.

Whether pushed or not the reaction of the protestors surprise me....actually the reaction is what I expected but truly hoped I wouldn't see. She may have been pushed she may not have (the camera is off her at the time of the fall) but I feel comfortable saying the yelling and crowd-mentality was most likely responsible for the push/fall. As for the comment earlier in the thread insinuating the lady was an actress, I don't think so. I work in long term care and the look on her face, the response of her body, etc was perfectly in line with what I see whenever a resident falls...especially in a public place where others are watching and confusion and embarrassment mix to create a stressful situation.

What amazes me is the complete lack of concern for another human being and lack of respect for an elder. One thing that has always separated "civilized" people is our concern for others, our caring for others...even if you don't agree with them. People say the 1% care about no one but themselves but this crowd showed they care about no one but themselves. There is talk of MLK, Ghandi, Jesus and how those people would be protesting as part of the crowd...well if they were part of that crowd they would have stopped and cared about the lady, they would be concerned for her physical well-being and when they felt she was physically ok they would still recognize her emotional and mental well-being. They would have quieted the chanting, if not needed to physically help they would have asked others to back away and quiet down so others could help the lady. Once the lady was gone they may have gone back to full protest but during the incident I do not think they would have tried to add to the confusion. If you expect others to care about everyone and helping the less fortunate....well you have to walk the walk.

Poor punctuation is cruise control for kewl!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Ahem. Writer's gripe. Anyway.

When you're moving through a group of people, odds are you're going to bump or get bumped by someone. Thus the escort, to try to create a bump-free space around the people who need it. You seem to be trying very hard to spin an accident into a malicious, savage assault. Up to and including the notion that a "guy" was blocking a stairway that is clearly at least twelve feet broad. I must have missed him, which is surprising considering what a big dude he must have been!

And the "attempted vehicular homicide"...yeah...it wasn't. The guy didn't even get a ticket because he was going through a GREEN LIGHT as the protestors stepped in front on him to try to block him. However the protestors did get ticketed for not obeying traffic/pedestrian signals.

As we not clearly conveyed by your source.

Except that the protestors who witnessed it went to help her, before the security (rightly) took over the situation. The lady in red is being assisted by a medic who is with the protestors, in fact.

I suppose you're expecting this big crowd of people to use their telepathic mind powers to know two ladies over on one side have fallen, and then stop doing what they're doing to... what? What are they going to do, exactly?
