I'm starting a new movement protesting corruption. Just corruption, nothing more. Yes for capitalism, yes for freedom, and down with globalism.

Anyone can join, all they have to do is contribute rather whine, and wake people up who mean well but who are on the wrong path. Not hard really.

Anyone have a problem with fighting corruption?

Edit: I strongly encourage people to put aside petty politics and political leanings.

You are the 99% and you are one layoff, firing, foreclosure, job loss through no fault of your own, and bounced cheque from being an occupier.

Why should people like you be forced to adapt?

I am sorry but for someone who is being born into poverty and someone being born into affluence at this very second who has the most likeliest chance of actually being someone? The answer is the person being born into affluence.

What is this one skill you speak of? The one they went to college to learn and now can't get a job in their chosen feild because of corporate greed? Is this what you speak of? You obviously went to college and graduated and are you now working in the job that you went to school for? Probably not! The fact that you are now holding $15k in debt and are not debt free makes you a 99%'r! With the way the law is written now there is nothing stopping them from multiplying your interest rate at any time they want, put a lien against anything you physically own (car, home, possessions, stocks, bonds, roths, IRA's, retirement accounts, bank saving and chequing accounts, pension accounts and any other monetary holding) and there'd be nothing you could possibly do about it yet these are the people you are protecting! Get real!

Try again! You have more in common with this movement then you'd like to admit!

Are you saying the OWS purpose is to commit crime? Are they like the thugs who work for penguin in Batman? Or the Foot in Ninja turtles? I don't get it? Millions of people just woke up on the same day and said, "Lets start a protest so we can secretly commit crimes." Thats pretty thin.

Just a quick question that I've asked before, but I'm not sure I understand the answer.

Assume, for the moment that OWS sets up in every city in America, just like it is on Wall Street, same strengths, same weaknesses. Say, also, that the population has about the same favorable-unfavorable opinion of OWS they have now. Also assume that martial law is not in place.

What happens next?

With all these crimes we should just execute all OWS protestors, and continue to bailout the banks and allow corporations to pay negative taxes.



I would be willing to bet that that given the average number of OWS protestors, this crime rate of these events would be the same as the of average big city these events take place in, no?

Well, I'm not out of school yet. I'm still in college. And the degree I'm getting is to help me on later in my career field. Before I realized what I wanted to do as a career, I was in the IT field. Do I do that? Nope, sure don't. But I adapted and I have a new job skill that works out fine. Is it as good as if I were still in the IT field? Well, no. I make a little less than I could have. But I still make enough money to live comfortably for a 23 year old soon to be newly wed. And being in debt? Well, I could have avoided it had I been a little more responsible with my finances a few years earlier. Being in debt is nothing new. And I sure as hell am not out looking to blame some one because I'm not living the lavish life. I'll get mine later in life. All I have to do is to continue to work hard and keep my eye on the prize.

If I get laid off in the future, what will I do? Wallow in pity? Woe is me? Blame the government? Nope. Hopefully I have enough money saved up to survive until I can find another way to make money. But hey, I'm young, never had that problem yet. What do I know? When I get to that point, I guess I'll see the "light" and finally be able to admit I'm one of the 99%.

But for now, I'll stick to my way of doing things. Hard work. If I have to learn how to work soil on a farm to make money for my family, well, you better believe that's what I'll do.

Here's a genius way to fight them. Put down your signs, take off your masks, stop buying the latest laptop, registering for the latest social media website, buying the latest smart phone, and using big name banks. We created these giant conglomerates, now we are lashing out at them? Come on. We are the ones to blame, just to arrogant and ego-blown to admit it - especially the people at the OWS protests. Always looking for somebody to blame. Ceasing to use their services will make them disappear overnight.

Seriously, how does attacking a Whole Foods accomplish anything? The people are nice, they are eco-friendly, and the food is great. All OWS heard was "OMGZ CEO AROUND THE BLOCK LETS GET HIM LOL!!" What a joke.

They do not represent what OWS is about and for all we know they were goaded in to it by provocateurs. OK for instance a hand full of soldiers or more commit war crimes in Iraq "acting on their own accord" and then the entire Military as well as the US gets flack for it yet had no part in this. Now all the soldiers are being called murderers and thieves ect. Is this fair to the soldiers? Ummm NO! Same goes for the police, if a few cops abuse their authority and for instance shoot a marine in the face with a rubber bullet and as well as hospitalize another Soldier during the protest does this mean all police are thugs? NO! The so called OWS activists who commit crimes should be prosecuted for their actions as well as the police abusing Protesters be held accountable just like the Soldiers at Abu Ghraib prison!

You cant label a movement bad because of 0.50% of the people.

If there was 10,000 of ANYBODY, no matter what theres going to be a few criminals.. sigh...
