I am as sure some of the OWS protesters are paid, or have some secret agenda, just around as much as I care if that is the case. The reason for that being is that good or bad intentions, a sizable amount of people are trying to make quite a bit of noise for all kinds of reasons, regardless of whatever group or whoever is behind any part of the movement.

Although yes there are individual groups making a presence within the OWS movement, Where is 11 Wall Street, New York, NY in Massachusetts exactly? Yet there are so many pages on even this thread that are filled with people speaking of the movement as a single entity without taking into account the initial 99% vs. the 1% argument. I don't understand the confusion.

OWS is more like a proper excuse for quite a few to untuck their tails and start to bark, like if 15 of my closest friends decided to up and do a sit in somewhere in seattle, all that need be said is OWS and bam, its all over ATS and the news.

I love OWS for the simple fact that mass amounts of middle, lower, and terrible poverty level folk are coming together, albeit there is no specific goal other than perhaps standard of living?? I do not know.

However, is it not amazing that this is happening by so many for so many reasons right now? Normally protests are specific and this is very different. People from everywhere, for every reason standing up to bitch at the same time... Individuals themselves are showing up to OWS to protest their very own issue. There is no union picket line that you can't walk across without repercussion, and no central control of what each individual or group thinks or does. And that is in my opinion, the magic of it. And it is hard for me to believe how many people can't understand that. Like showing a picture of the (laughable) communist party at OWS in wherever, is the same as Oakland OWS...

OWS is grand, and it's a great example of another American ingenuity, this time in protesting (yeah!).

But they have a problem.

So they have had to diversify into different divisions to spread the cash around "at a loss" to make their books balance.

The reason why they would occupy the Israeli consulate is a simple one. The billions we send them every year is nothing but corporate welfare for our military machine. So a stance against the "aid" we give Israel is a stance against wall street. The protestors should just build a wall around the consulate make them feel at home.

I keep seeing this common reasoning, "I can't support Occupy, unless...". Okay, but, since when does not supporting something mean constant regurgitation of slanted media? Of which, almost every single bit of has been dispelled in other threads.

What does OWS have to do with Israel?

Israel starts wars that Americans are forced to fight and then claim self defence. Israel takes our money in the name of aid while Americans live on the street. Israel bribes our elected officials to do God knows what in the name of Israel instead of America. Of course all of this is ignored by the ignorant as they scream Nazi.

The definition of an ally is to combine or unite a resource or commodity with (another) for mutual benefit. I see no mutual benefit for Americans in this relationship with Israel. With that said, we may now call Israel exactly what it really is. A parasite.

You do not understand the movement. There is a unified agenda. There are also respected and honored sub agendas. Here is the mission ststement:

They are growing and Occupying over 1000 cities so far. I attended an activist event this weekend and spoke to musicians that are attending OWS events across the nation. There is a sense of unity and direction, the media is not reporting this correctly. The movement is healthy and thriving. Quakers are giving seminars of consensus democracy and they ahve adopted a 90-10 model that is suprisingly efficient.

Once you free yourself from the false left-right paradigm and see the world in terms of a nasty plutocracy run by corporate "persons" you will begin to see what the movemenet is all aboput and begin to understand the absolute focus and intention of OWS.

I agree that we do need a one world single Government, but not one under the rule of corrupt politicians, greedy bankers/business men, religious fanatics that truly believe that they are the 'chosen people', or spoiled brats born with a silver spoon in their mouth. The average person does not want war or bloodshed. The average person just wants to be able to support their family and EARN (yes i said earn) a decent wage. The ability to earn a decent wage in this world has been taken away from the average person while the elite throw job applications to dead end jobs upon them.

It is the elite of this world that have been dragging humanity through hell since the existence of man and it is the elite of this world that need to be abolished. No I dont mean that millionaire down the street trying to keep his business running. I mean the billionaires paying off our elected officials so that he doesnt have to pay a dime in taxes. Or the scum that think they own the news in this world and think that they have the right to brainwash the population into believing only what they think is right. The elite class needs to be removed from society and the only way to do this is to somehow remove the need for currency.

How do we do this? Honestly, I dont know. But the fact is its always been the haves versus the have nots. It has been this way since the dawn of man. If you work hard in this country you should be able to live a decent life and right now the average man simply does not have that opportunity anymore. You're either in debt to credit card companies because you cant afford to live or you have so much student debt from the useless education you purchased that you cant even see straight. And then what? We either work for some dead end job that wont even keep the lights on or we sit on welfare until the bank comes to take our house. Thats all we have to look forward to and if that isnt considered slavery without a whip, then I dont know what is.

Our destiny should have been the stars... 50 years ago. But as always its the same scum holding back everyone else. Russia plans to send a manned space craft to the moon of Mars sometime this or next year. What is America doing? Fighting wars, locking people up for smoking a plant, sexually assaulted its citizens, and kissing the backside of Israel. So much for the great space race. So much for 'made in America'.
