In that case you could hold the pattern in your mind and integrate them that way. No need for a physical device. Your own electromagnetic field can hold the pattern.

I noticed when working with certain geometries, especially when there was a strong emotional component which often accompanies a new discovery, it seemed as if I was attracting the attention of... entities. Now they could've been my own thoughts temporarily disassociated, but whatever it is that happens, it's both exciting and thrilling. The boredom that sets in afterwards is the pits though. Like any high, you want more.
