I hope the next stage of the species has opportunity for those of us who see it coming to prevent it from happening again. Sooner or later we will learn as a species. I just gave my son a big hug and didn't want to let go. It is so true that we don't realize what we have compared to other parts of the world. I won't lie...I complain about little things that shouldn't matter. I've had tragedy in my life but it's also been good. I can't imagine the terror of just wondering if you or your children are going to live or die. I hope I never have to feel that. Thank you for the OP.
I also want to add that realize that there are people starving to death or homeless right here. People are losing their houses with no place to go. People are wondering how they're going to get their next meal. There is pain and suffering here too, and we should think about those people as well.
And for those of us who have food on the table and a roof over our head and a job; we need to start appreciating what we have because it could be a lot worse. We could be the ones looking for a bomb shelter to keep our children safe. My heart goes out to the innocent people who don't deserve this.

wow. i agree with you in many ways. funny thing is i don't even know what the # jersey shore is and i listen to people talk about it almost everyday as if it mattered so much. im glad to say that i haven't watched t.v for a few years now (considered abnormal when you're in your H.S class and everyone is talking about what happened on "flavor of love" with flavor flave and you have no clue whats going on, i am now 21)

I am touched by your post, and almost everyone else' post on this thread. Despite our differences, humanity does share more common ground than anything else - love and life, not necessarily the mormonistic material trappings of life.

If only our political and economic leaders will step out of their miserable self centred and over indulgent life for once, and feel what the common people truly seeks for - peace, justice, shared prosperity, progress and freedom, they will know that there are no wars worth fighting for, only criminals against mankind to be apprehended, incarcerated or rehabilated...

Are you being sarcastic? Spiritualism is communication with higher dimensional beings called aliens. When it comes to organised religion(religion) there is a huge disconnect in describing what angels, demons, god, satan/lucifer are. In other words spiritualism is much more authentic imo then religion. It transcends christianity, islam, judaism, confusionism, budhism, etc. It can be defined as something like witchcraft, but necessarily evil. What is evil is the church telling you this is what you should believe and this is how you should worship and there is very little room for leeway.

As for capitalism it is the polar opposite of communism. If someone cannot figure out what is wrong with that it is because of ignorance due to constant brainwashing. We become what we associate ourselves with. Socialism equals balance!

What is meant by "innocent?" This word usually refers to someone tried and NOT convicted of a crime. It is often misused to suggest that anyone who is a "victim" of another without a clear "reason" for the victimizing. I'm curios why the word "innocent" was chosen for this post.

I could try and explain to you how incredibly vast our universe is, and how it is beyond the proverbial needle in a haystack for an alien culture to even find us, but this is not the subject at hand. For what its worth, while i certainly believe it is likely for aliens to be out there, it is rediculous to insist they are visiting or guiding us. And you claim to KNOW they are? Excuse me while i lol. And why do you claim they are extra-dimensional? String theorist state time after time, even if there are 10 physical dimensions in addition to the 1 time dimension, there is no reason to believe we as physical beings can ever interact with them. They are most likely tiny, rolled up dimensions. Why on earth do you assume aliens (if there even are any), are extra-dimensional? Your belief in aliens requires the same faith and fervor as anyone who believes in christianity, allah, or any other faith. You simply believe in a new age faith, which is as preposperous as any other.

No, socialism = laziness and a "mommy told me im special" mentality. It makes people think we should all be equal, and as such, if they sit around doing nothing, they should still be paid as much as the hardest working people in society.

I state again, socialism = the death of motivation.
