If you go to the recent posts page you'll see a small red marker to the right hand side of every thread that shows up, It looks something like this: (-)
Clicking on it removes all threads from that particular forum from showing up there again. But, if you click where it says "show removed forums", threads from that forum show up again. I think they have another green marker to the right hand side as opposed to the red marker that you need to click to re-add them for good.
