Report: U.K. preparing for military strike on Iran nuclear facilities

I just figured out that Iran is the fourth largest EXPORTER of oil in the world:

It exports more oil than Kuwait or Venezuela.

A war would interrupt the exports, and make oil prices soar.

China is the biggest importer of Iranian oil:

I have, and i have concluded that Iran are the problem, nobody's funding an attack against Iran, Iran is funding attacks against Israel, and aiding insurgents in Iraq & Afghanistan with arms, with out them doing so there would not be an issue, and its as simple as that, get the to root cause... the fact they are trying to develope nukes also is of concern for many reasons, one may get into the hand of a terrorist organisation they share a common goal with, they simply cannot be trusted, the risk is to great,

I do not support boots on the ground in Iran, or any type of invasion, i'm totally against the idea or use of force/violence to solve anything, but what other options are left on the table? they have all been smugly ignored everything, nuclear weapons are not toys they're weapons of mass destruction, there needs to be tight restrictions & regulations on such destructive weapons, the world would descend into utter kaos should everybody & anybody who has the money & means to develope them, its like giving someone screaming insults at you a gun, where is the sense in that? good idea? not in my books its not, strike the nuclear facilities and strike them again if necessary until they can be trusted with them, they will soon get the message and come to the table,

For the millionth time the UK is NOT preparing for a strike on Iran.........it is merely stepping up contingency planning should the US strike Iran.

That's the problem mate. Iran has been talking, unfortunately it's not what certain people want to hear (or care to). And how hypocritical to speak about Iran's weapons programs when those countries that are voicing the criticism are also the ones selling arms to friend and foe on all sides.

The agenda has been set and it's obvious who is pulling the strings but like you and others have said, no boots will be on the ground but that is the problem. Dropping bombs on a country with drones spells out a clear message to the disillusioned people that the west does not give a # about them or their way of life.

If you didn't have a terrorist you will have created one. People don't seem to get the types of people Iranians are, especially hard lined Shia's (they don't mess around). If they weren't radicalised already they will be when an attack occurs.

But we can see from Libya that these wars are not clean cut in any sense...while the ariel bombardment is going on there will be agent provocateurs on the ground doing all they can to create havoc within the country (just take a look at Syria, Yemen, pre-Libya etc).

As Mike Rivero always says, follow the trail and ask yourself, who stands to benefit the most out of all of this?

We are addicted to warfare and this is perpetuated through the media from the daily TV doses to the types of games we are playing these days (BF3, CSS...yeah I play em); The ego is the centre of the universe right now.

It's got nothing to do with any of these 3 countries, it's purely elitest propaganda. There is 1 elite group that control all 3 countries and whatever they say goes. They reap the rewards and the poor die fighting for what they think is freedom.

But looking from the rational side, do you want Iran to get nukes and threaten the whole world to impose their radical Islamic rule?

If I had my way, I'd be completely happy with Iran, or any other nation being peaceful and we all live and let live. Everybody wake up! The governments in Great Britain, France and USA are not in control. Israel controls all of them with an iron fist. Israel will strike and BOOM! All 3 of those countries will be at war with Iran. People need to accept reality, we have no control over the governments decision to go to war. That's why the approval rating of congress is around 11-13%. The only decision we can make is not to go fight in these fraudulent wars.

This isn't true, we dropped bombs in Libya just a few weeks ago on people we was assisting in there revolution, i and many others cared about them and there struggle, it was a great thing to see them win there revolution against such evil man, i'm happy for them, well done Libya

I think the first bit here was born out of a conspiracy theory related to 9/11, and i recall Gaddafi saying something along them lines to, unfortunately people are not that brave after a hot headed rant on national TV when 2000lb JDAMs start dropping, not trying to be glorying anything hear either, but this is the truth, if you look at WWII only a very small percentage actually fire there rifles in combat, its well documented, to come under artillery strike or an air raid is enough to have the hardiest of men curled up in a ball crying, weapons have a physiological impact, wars is no game and us Europeans know that better then anyone,
