In what appears as days of my own ending, as my battle with pancreatic cancer is also a tiring one, I'll say, simply because the words should make it to the top of a thread, that we, as consumers, should educate our children accordingly.

If it's important that we teach our children the ways of consumer-ism, commerce and credit, then we should also teach them what companies, banks, and etc are bad for the people. Everything from Prescott trading during the war illegally to those that are mocking the masses today.

We owe it to the consumers of tomorrow to show them the mockers that haunted this generation, and that will haunt them too. I see it as a civil duty

We will not forget.
We will pass this knowledge on to our children.
I will, when they are of an appropriate age.
Choose your banks wisely and with what businesses you deal with.

Take care.
I can only hope that you will have a most fulfilled life and a peaceful journey.

Well, think about it.

You could be the next 1%. We're watching you....

Just kidding.

I'm about to sell the corvette because I can't legitimize keeping both the Harley and the vette. I won't be the 1%. If I ever had the kind of money they have, I'd invest it in advancements that would improve life for everyone, and give enough to charity to see to it that the poor could get those advancements. You don't become the 1% by thinking like that though. I like to manipulate the people I think are lacking morals.

I think I see where you're coming from. Invest in your ideas and in the future, you're employees. But it is a slippery slope. After you have retired or passed on, who is to say that those that replace you have your morals?

We've seen it all to often. At one time Wal-Mart, Home Depot, etc were all the the good up and comers. Now look at them.

We've disagreed at times in the past, but I have to give kudos to you.

I too, spend on my needs and save for my wants.

If only everybody did that.

It's not easy when you start saving for your needs, and are so hungry you can't think of anything you want more than food. I've been there too.

I AM the people--the mob--the crowd--the mass.
Do you know that all the great work of the world is
done through me? I am the workingman, the inventor, the
maker of the world's food and clothes.

I am the audience that witnesses history. The Napoleons
come from me and the Lincolns. They die. And
then I send forth more Napoleons and Lincolns.
I am the seed ground. I am a prairie that will stand
for much plowing. Terrible storms pass over me.
I forget. The best of me is sucked out and wasted.
I forget. Everything but Death comes to me and
makes me work and give up what I have.
And I forget.

Sometimes I growl, shake myself and spatter a few red
drops for history to remember. Then--I forget.
When I, the People, learn to remember, when I, the
People, use the lessons of yesterday and no longer
forget who robbed me last year, who played me for
a fool--then there will be no speaker in all the world
say the name: "The People," with any fleck of a
sneer in his voice or any far-off smile of derision.
The mob--the crowd--the mass--will arrive then.

-Carl Sandburg (1878-1967)

The realistic decisions are always tough.

My days of eating healthy are gone for now. Mac & Cheese, Beans, etc are my fare now.

I still have money mind you...but I am preparing for the next big fall. Namely Greece.

Thank God for friends. A good convo takes the mind off the what ifs.

The big three.
Food,family and friends.
You need nothing more.
But water and wine.

You are right...except,

While I do love a good steak, Chicken makes a good BBQ as well. Probably healthier as well.

Most of my buds are in the 'Stan right now, but family is a phone call away. (We're a scattered tribe)

Good evening , although we do not know eachother personnally , i am deeply saddened by the news of your cancer , it is such a horrible thing i would not wish it upon my worst enemy , i hope you find peace in your final days , and make the journey without pain. Life its self hurts us more than death could ever imagine.

A poem ....
A scruffy one at that but what do you expect in 5 mins ?

I call this .................

WE ARE NOT TERRORISTS , WE ARE YOUR CHILDREN.

The men who sit behind the curtain laughing at our pain ,
Soon will see history repeat its self again ,
The little man has allways brought the giant down with time ,
Something the so called elite will witness down the line ,
For when they lose their only tool which helps them in their quest ,
They`ll see the options dwindling , the options they have left ,
The propaganda war machine will soon be on its knees ,
And every man , every child , can learn just as they please ,
The thing that poisons all of us yet claims to be secure ,
Will soon be in the people`s hands , imagine life so pure ,
Our childrens lifes , our peoples lifes , no longer in their hands ,
All governments bow down to us the people of the lands ,
They push and push with all of us just hoping that we pop ,
And push our luck by breaking laws , allowing them to drop ,
New laws new rules the only things that keep them in their seat ,
But they underestimate the people at their feet ,
Weve eat their scraps weve took their lies , accepted them as truth ,
But one mistake they did not see was educating youth ,
We learnt their ways , we play their game , were pushing them to pop ,
The only thing that keeps us here is we know when to stop ,
They taught us this but still ignore the wisdom they surrendered ,
But soon they`ll know just how it feels ...... upon the 5th of November.

We are the people ,
We are the 99% ,

We are Anonymous ,
We are Legion ,
We do not forgive ,
We do not forget.

If only our grandparents had passed these lessons on to their children, huh? For whatever reasons, they did not do so... and their kids thought nothing of leading an effort to loot and pillage their ancestors' savings, and then when that was through, start cutting into the trust fund set aside for their own children and grandchildren.

Where I was raised, we understood that the current generation of any given time served a role of trust - that they would preserve the gains of their forebears, and still strive for more gains for their own descendants.I don't see this common sense approach in most of America, except among the generation that is now realizing they are going to have to bear the brunt of their own ancestor's violation of this trust.

If you want to cure your cancer, look into Gerson Therapy. It has cured quite a number of patients, hundreds I believe. Maybe thousands. Doctors in America aren't allowed to say Gerson Therapy, isn't that funny.

But we did forget, did you not study basic history?

Do you not remember what (at least partially) what the separation from Europe was about?

WE HAVE FORGOTTEN; THAT IS THE PROBLEM.......

Companies and banks are not inherently evil, thats not something I think should be passed down. Although I do agree with most everything else you said.
