GPS Anomoly in Chicago

i was driving thru NM and had my GPS on the page that shows location and speed.
I looked over to verify that i was going the speedlimit, and saw that i was doing 1640MPH according to my GPS... it also said that i was at over 10,000 ft above sealevel. In reality, It was more like 75MPH and 6,000 ft above sea level.
