So, it looks like Greece is going to vote on whether to accept the bailout deal or not. I don't think it takes a rocket scientist to figure out which way that particular vote will go, particularly with the prospect of people's electricity being cut off to collect a new property tax.

Comments range from calling him a coward to calling him crazy.

"I never expected Papandreou to take such a dangerous and frivolous decision," said Dora Bakoyanni, former foreign minister and leader of the small center-right Democratic Alliance party. "Tomorrow all the international media will say that Greece itself is putting the EU deal at risk."

This gentleman is simply trying to save Greece from what seems like an inevitable civil war if they keep these austerity measures up. Mostly, though, I suspect that he's trying to save his own skin because he knows that he'll be the first in line for the guillotines if the citizenry of Greece revolts.

I think Greece should reject the bailout and tell the bankers to go hang themselves. Greece should exit the euro and resume the drachma, then they can enact an economic policy that allows the socialism they desire; or not. Their choice. Not the bankers.
