Apparently Mr. Cain didn't know the fundamentals and now he is going to pay the price. Only a fool would come on to strong and nasty.

Subtleties with a sense of style and grace, is the way to a woman heart and favor.

Aside from the fact HE WAS AND IS MARRIED...

The press was tactful in one of thier descriptions of the offending comments that Cain said to one of the women about her "height" and how it was similiar to his wifes height and held up his hand to demonstrate her height....and commented on the "advantages of that height"..

Guys know this joke well, it has to do with oral sex..."she's the perfect height", but while I have had guy friends make the crude joke often amongst the company of guy friends, to say it directly to a woman and then apparently follow it up with an invitation back to his rooom? His idea of seducation looks to be direct and crude.

And how many people did Bill Clinton harass and actually assault???

How does Bill Clinton's sins excuse Cain's?

Should a Pedopohile Priest be absolved of his crimes because other clergy are just as guilty?

This logic confuses me.

This post is irrelevant to the discussion. More to the point, it's intent is to either distract or derail the discussion

John Edwards was accused of cheating on his wife in an extramarital affair. That doesn't come close to sexual harassment. Even the Clinton scandal was mutual between two consenting adults - Cain on the other hand appear to be harassing women under his employ and then paying them to go away if they complain. He's up to three now, how much you wanna bet there's a 4th, 5th out there?

Yeah, it makes you wonder how many are really true, and how many are cases of "Hey I was in the same room when he make an off-color joke"..
You never know when there might be a few bucks involved in it, eh? Might at well toss your garter into the pile...

Admit it -- you don't even know what the specifics of these so-called incidents are, so stop playing judge, jury, and executioner.

And please, making comparisons of affairs and harassment? What's next, some lame argument about how one is an example of using power? Oh, brother.

There's nothing worse than a moral relativist.:shk:

???

Herman Cain was, in theorey, "out of the whole dating scene" at the time of these (now 3?) accusations?

He had been married for a couple of decades at the time.

Or am I missing something?

No, you're just unable to bounce in and out of the box, is all. You're like one of those crabs in a bucket.

I don't think many women will view this as a speed bump to be forgotten. Women have much longer memories and are very sensitive when it comes to their sexuality being taken for granted. Which is exactly what Cain rudely did. This issue will dog him until he makes an admission and proper apology. "Family Values" and "Taking personal Responsibility" time mr Cain........

And with out the women's vote Mr. Cain's campaign is essentially over. The GOP knows this and their allegiance to Cain is over and shifting back to Perry according to my local RNC chairmen people I'm in contact with.

My position is that that's none of our business. His marriage is between him and his wife. The vows they made are to each other, not to us. Maybe they have an open marriage or perhaps she gives him permission to 'flirt' but no more. Whatever the case, it's THEIR business and not mine.

My concerns here are that:

a. He allegedly harassed 3 women, showing a general disrespect of women, if true.
b. More importantly, he tried to weasel out of the truth by lying to us. As has been said, if he came clean, he would have been forgiven for an indiscretion or two. But lying takes a LOT more to forgive. He's lost any respect I had for him, which wasn't much, but still... There are going to be women and men out there who will not forgive that.

Why am I not suprised

A true gentleman knows how to operate in the world of romance and seduction without being charged with harassment. I personally enjoy the company and affections of a number of beautiful women, and have never had any complaints.

There's a big difference between "Whaaa, be a darling and take Mitzi for her evening 'exercise'...the pooper scooper is on the cellar stairs" and "Ready when you are, Mish baby! Let's get outta here!"

If Mr. Cain is clumsy in the world of romance; how can he be expected to be president of a country with all the intricacies and gamesmanship involved in leading the most powerful nation on earth.

The answer is....he can't and the GOP knows it.

You didn't really say that, did you? Bwahahahahahaaaa

We do know SOME specifics.

There were two charges of sexual harassment against Cain
One woman received a year's salary and was put under an NDA regarding the circumstances
Cain WAS aware of the settlement and lied to us, saying he wasn't.

Those are all the specifics I need to make the judgment that he is willing to lie FIRST instead of coming clean and admitting that he made mistakes. So, yes, we are playing judge, but not jury and executioner.

Right now, I'm nothing more than an observer, watching Cain tie himself into further knots.

And please, making comparisons of affairs and harassment? What's next, some lame argument about how one is an example of using power?

Harassment IS an example of using power. An affair is none of our business.

Irrelevant???

Lets see if i can connect the dots.

Hmmm.... Okay, Bill Clinton was running for president and linked to numerous sex scandals.
The list is long........lets see... Juanita Broaddrick......Gennifer Flowers......Paula Jones $$$....etc.

Okay, Herman Cain is running for president and linked to sexual harassment claims made in the
1990s.

Bill Clinton is a democrat so..........who cares? Give him a pass. Scandal? What scandal?

Herman Cain is a republican so....... WHAT?! Well, that changes EVERYTHING! We got to look
into this! This is outrageous!

Up to this point, this was a most excellent post, BH. Star and 2

But then you played judge, jury, etc. Really, how much do you know of the true facts of any of these incidents?

Now this is a comment that could be misinterpreted...if I had a crude mind.

Sorry...couldn't resist the humor.

To make my post useful.....If Cain simply had a raunchy sense of humor like myself, I would be OK with it as long as he understood when it was appropriate and when it wasn't...between a man and woman in a professional working relationship? Nope. Secondly, seeing as each of these complaints indicate that the humor was followed by an invitation to his hotel room or apartment...it looks to be one part humor, one part harrasment, one part infidelity.

Did you really write "Bill Clinton was ... linked to numerous sex scandals." in the same post that you said:

What scandal??? The ones Bill Clinton was linked to!
The ones you're talking about!! Jesus! What world do you live in that you think Clinton didn't have a sex scandal???? OMG! This is so hilarious! The length partisans will go to to see their skewed version of things. :shk:

YES, Bill Clinton had sex scandals. They were HIGHLY reported on. The man was freaking IMPEACHED! And you think he "got a pass" because he's a Democrat! OMG. I can't handle it. I'm laughing so hard!

YES, Herman Cain has his very own sex scandal. It's being highly reported on. Stop crying and deal with it. This is NOT a partisan issue. These guys brought this stuff on themselves.

Clinton got a pass"

If Bill Clinton was given a pass you would not know who Paula Jones or Gennifer Flowers is.

His scandals were big news.

You are suggesting that Herman Cain's scandals shouldn't be?

I am OK with the voters deciding the matter. I am not OK with people suggesting somehow he deserves a "pass" and the press should stop asking questions.

I'm awake! It's Gov. Sarah Palin!

----------
She will take on Hillary Clinton while Obama hides out at the golf course.

Obama approval ratings will go down further and force him to concentrate on running the
country while Hillary takes over as the one running for the democrats in January 2012.

The impeachment came AFTER he lied under oath. - Perjury -

The MSM gave him a pass and Clinton was elected with the help of Ross Perot.

Spell out the truth. All of it.

You're mature and well-read. You understand that payouts happen all the time, and are not an admission of guilt. They are a way to avoid lengthy legal and expensive court battles in the public eye.

It's axiomatic that people remember only the bad in most cases. Joe Blow gets accused of rape. Acquitted after 5 years of court battles and appeals. Ruined. Yet when asked, people will NOT say "There goes Joe Blow, he was found not guilty of that rape charge." What they remember is "Joe Blow... didn't he rape some woman?"

Grifters know this, and will not hesitate to cash in on these guys.

You knew this, I'm sure. But still, you chose to convict him.

Mishigas is right....it's about appearances. Palins a quitter, Cains a perv, who else ya got?

Clintons scandals were big news BUT the MSM made excuses for him.
Well, who cares about all this? It looks like a bunch of sex. Who cares? Scandal?
What scandal??? You know what? We all have skeletons in our closet. Lets
give slick Willie a pass on these women.

They attacked the credibility of the accusers.

That was the strategy back then. --- Accuse the accuser. ---

----------
Then of course, the scandals continued........what was her name? Oh yeah, Monica Lewinsky!
The list goes on and on.........even today!!!
