[color=F88017]A Witches spell: All hallows eve, A beckoning to sleep
By Whateva69

I cast thy runes in the pit under the moon.
They scatter accordingly… addressed to the foulness stench and ghastly ghouls.

Tonight I slither into your thoughts as darkness smothers all who lurk.
While you slumber into the depths… your conscious is left to those who weep.

As you shift...your awareness...into sleep… thy ghouls and ghostly outcasts creep.

Listen clearly now… as thy words reach you, softly sweeping the night to caress you, sleep thy child, rest thy head for the darkness calls you off to bed.

Your limbs are stiff you cannot move, Slip into the darkness and open your soul.

Creep forward shadows… and…the ghostly, for the child now sleeps… and can be easily forsaken.

And what a blessing it is to be manifest here in 3 dimensional form, in this 'time'.

I very much am looking forward to the harvest of all the bastardizations of existence, at least influencing us here.

Cheerio!

Oh grow up, it’s a fantasy piece.

Would you rather I change the witch to a Satanist worshiper or maybe voodoo queen? Make the witch a common house wife and the child a husband 

Very good and thought-provoking.
Perhaps a reminder of our macabre archetypal fear that only a frail, child-like conscience separates us from the unknown, and that sleep was once considered the "small death".

I'm also faintly reminded of Goethe's poem "The Erl King":

OMG that is fantastic, i did not know about this story, i liked how he witnessed a father carrying his child off in the night to doctors.
Then to put himself as the child and imagining what the child might have been going through.

Thankyou for taking the time to read my little piece. and thank you for the link, i loved it.

The art work is beautiful; I did forget to add a thank you to the artists who’s created them.
As I found them just by searching the net, if anyone knows whose work this is, let me know and I’ll give the full credit and links to their web sites.
