Former IDF Chief "Smash Hamas"

Former IDF Chief of Staff, Lt. Gen. (res.) Dan Halutz, thinks Israel should mount a crushing offensive against Gaza. He called for a "mortal blow" to be dealt to Hamas's civilian and "military" leadership.

In an interview with IDF Radio, Halutz said, "We must bring back our deterrence vis-à-vis Gaza. It has not existed for even one moment since Operation Cast Lead and to this day."

Halutz said that in the end, Israel will have to conduct an extensive operation of this kind, and there is no reason to wait. "A rocket struck an empty school on the Sabbath," he said. "Why wait until a rocket strikes a full school in the middle of the day?"
"This must be dealt with through a strong blow, beyond the expectations of the other side," he explained. "The other side creates equations based on its own preferences and we have to create different equations based on what is good for us."

Makes a whole lot of sense... Why delay the inevitable?? Why wait for a tragedy to strike before you do what inevitably needs to be done?

Israel needs to enter Gaza with more then just commandos, but with Tanks and tens of thousands of soldiers. Occupy the Gaza strip until Hamas is destroyed. Destroy not just Hamas, but their media networks. THAT is the only way to end the diabolical Jew hatred they teach their citizens. It wont end anyother way.

First, i go to school for political science, so i have more then enough knowledge of history, particularly this conflict.

Second, have you seen what Hamas teaches its citizens? Peace cannot endure and it is redherring if Hamas doesnt stop this. Even Hillary Clinton, not exactly a friend to Israel, pointed that out:



Its a MAJOR issue that needs to be dealt with. It was Hadrians way of antagonizing the defeated Jews of Judea, after they caused him anguish in the Judean war of 135, forcing Hadrian to bring legions from Germany to supplement his forces in the levant.

There are also many ancient synagogues. Your own Quran makes reference to the Jews and their holy land, Israel.

Heres how the events unfolded. The Arabs ATTACKED the nascent Jewish state in 1948. THEY were the ones who began the war. When they lost the war, Israel won the Negev, while Egypt occupied the Gaza Strip and Jordan occupied the west bank. Who made these people refugees? EGYPT AND JORDAN.Did Egypt or Jordan establish a state for the nationless palestinians? NO.

The Arabs didn't start this war. As soon as Israel was established they started stealing land and began ethnic cleansing of the Palestinians that lived there. Also Israel won nothing because it is illegal to acquire land by force so by occupying this land they are breaking international law.

Find me evidence from HISTORY books that Israel started the '48 war or engaged in ethnic cleansing, you freakin liar.. They simply declared themselves a state - the North Eastern portion of Israel, which had a relatively small Arab population, and the Arab league declared war on Israel.

After the war, when the Arabs lost, did they establish a state in the West Bank of Gaza?? Did they?! Egypt and Jordan had 19 years, of occupation of Gaza and the Westbank. Did either of them seek to help establish a state? NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO.

I doubt that you are a student of political science. If you were you would recognize the limitations of military power and realize that at long sustained occupations it is bound to fail to achieve its goals. All I see, is Israel destroying much of Hamas' infastructure, command and control and organizational abilities (as well as killing a few thousand civillians) in the short term, but consolidating their popularity in the long term.
