Keith and Iraq veteran Keith Shannon, who is the roommate of injured veteran Scott Olsen - the man who sustained a skull fracture as a result of action on the part of the Oakland Police Department during the protest on Tuesday night - discuss Olsen's progress.

This is absurd, his own parents are not allowed to talk on their cell phones in the room with him. Is this standard hospital procedure? His parents and Scott himself have asked to let his friend visit him, but he is denied.

Does someone not want them talking, or any of Scott's own words being published to prevent him from gaining anymore martyr status while this is still fresh?

Talking on Cell Phones in hospital room is actually standard procedure. Radio waves tweek with the equipment a bit and throw off certain reading on the machines that are used to check vitals. But it still sounds suspicious about the whole "not letting his friend talk to him" thing.

Get well soon Scott!

Not really that fishy, being that only family members are allowed into the hospital room with a patient. It has to do with the who privacy act thingy.....

And yes Cell phones are not allowed into a hospital room because they fear it may inter fear with the life support systems, and even if you think it wouldn't why take the chance?
