Our media only shows the die hard supporters. You never see the parents that speak out against the mission get any air time. All the ones you see on
TV say their child supported the mission they died for. I have many family in the military. They respect their country but they know it's just a job.
They don't buy the whole "liberating" hoax. It's an obvious occupation.
I remember a few years back when I signed up for a career in the Canadian Forces. The recruiters didn't think much of me from looking at me, but
were astonished when I scored high enough in their cognitive testing to have any job I want (aside from pilot).
Then I made the mistake of stating that I wanted to serve my nation, to protect it from all geopolitical threats and to work towards a better life for
future generations of my people. Shortly after, I received a letter from some "health" military institution in Ontario stating that I did not meet
the mental compency standards of the Canadian Forces, and the recruiters were unnecessarily hostile towards me after that.
I almost feel bad for fellow Canadians who end up as casualties of war only because they signed up for the paycheck. Almost.
