Same thing going on here in Toronto, the unions are all over it, when they occupied an area of Bay St. the other day, they stopped traffic by standing on the road at rush hour but let the streetcars go by, and yes I understand there are people on the bus going about their business( working) but so are alot of the other folks in cars, taxis, bikes and walking, I'm not union and I'm not part of the 1% but I am someone, and was 3 hours late to work which I was docked for.

So if the OWS and the Unions are the 99% and the ultra wealthy are the 1% where does that leave the rest of us?

Really Beezer?

Don't you think it is bad form to make blanket statements about a group you have disparaged from the beginning?

Don't you think it's bad for to lump an entire group of people, that come from all walks of life, into a group you disagree with just because it makes it easier for you to understand what is actually happening here?

Bad form, indeed.

Well maybe we should send them all (OWS) to England.

Where they can all live in utopia and sing kumbayah.

Hey OWS England has everything you want, please go there!

Please don't. My mother is British.

LOL.

Thanks for making me laugh, Patriot. I'd be more than happy to have more like-minded folks over here.

My main point of contention is that many of the participants in the Occupy movement(s) are not against the free market capitalist system, but infact corporate greed.

Enjoy your thread. "GO USA"

I have been shown to be right at every step and turn. Union driven, promoted by ex-ACORN affiliates, supported by the White House, the DNC, the socialist party, the communist party, CAIR, anti-capitalists, anti-americans, adbusters, Tide Foundation.

Yeah, this OWS is a group of real angels.

Some Nazis were against animal cruelty, does that make animal-cruelty protests wrong? (because a detestable group are involved?)

Dirty tactics; Name a specific few groups involved in the hope that OWS will be boycotted. HurrDurr.

Fail. Again.

Endorsing a group is one thing.

But when OWS accepts such endorsements then your argument falls flat.

And tell me, who exactly is "accepting"? Which authority is set up for OWS? You think OWS has a committee or something?

Anyone is free to protest, there's no accepting involved, you either turn up to protest or don't. Naming a few less than reputable groups that turn up is just a pathetic argument against OWS as a whole.

It's the pathetic school child argument of "That stupid kid likes band "X" therefore band "X" is bad" DERP.

They don't turn anyone away.

The “official” Occupy Wall Street website has publicly formed an alliance with yet another Obama campaign front group, the New Jersey branch of the American Federation of Teachers, the parent organization of which spent $1.9 million on Obama’s 2008 election campaign.

Fears that the OWS movement is being subverted by Democratic Party operatives will only be heightened after OccupyWallSt.org celebrated the fact that “AFT fully endorses Occupy Wall Street,” noting that the local chapter stood in “solidarity” with ‘Occupy’ demonstrators.

www.2ndrevolt.com...

That's just one example.

But you have never addressed the fact that OWS has not endorsed these groups. Anyone can claim to endorse OWS. ANYONE.

If your claims are true why hasn't OWS endorsed them?

If I were you id stick to the topic and probably stop being so ugly to other members...........youre likely to find yourself banned in short order.....

As far as the OP is concerned......its been abundantly clear that the OWS movement is supported financially by many questionable people and organizations.....

The point is people need to be looking at WHY these organizations would be backing them.......if their ideology falls in line with the OWS movement , then scary times are indeed ahead.

I love when people throw the Nazis into the mix because they seem to think it's a sure win as people are to scared to continue to speak up for fear of supporting Nazis. Reminds me of this time I was having a debate about the new health fad in America High Fructose Corn Syrup etc, and my co-worker didn't like my argument that additives like that were around for far longer then he was alive, so he said, " I mean what about when you grow and learn new things? Like just because the Nazi's were around before me does that mean they are ok and I should accept them?" FAIL......................... Completely off topic.

The point is that OWS is just a further agenda push by the Socialist movement in America that is unfortunately primarily Democrat's. Has anyone ever noticed how if you say anything bad about Democrats you were ridiculed, demonized, lumped into a group, or just dismissed wholesale as just another Republican? Ever wonder how they get away with everything? Nixon was a Republican and he was impeached and resigned, George Bush Sr and Reagan were republicans and they were blamed. Clinton lied under oath and was impeached but never resigned. Obama well I am still not sure if he even went to school let alone was born in the US and somehow no one cares about the questions of his authenticity. Furthermore the man has done absolutely nothing that he promised yet he is still adorned by masses as the man of change.

I am not even a republican by party, but I tend to have serious issues with the Democratic Party and several independents such as the Green Party for continuing to push there agendas. People go on and on about Nader, but the man is a Socialist pure and simple yet people are always like oh I love Nader. When you disagree with Socialistic movements you are deemed a Conservative Republican..

Again once America becomes like the book 1984 and all of those in favor of the antics and political BS are going oh man this wasn't what I wanted. It will be to late. I think that the 2 party system needs to die, and we need to start voting for someone new and different. Stop letting them run the country and start making actual choices instead of letting them lead you around by a collar.

GO USA! HurrDurr.

In my view, that is why you have already submitted to the Globalist One World Govt.

I apologize, I did not read your reply to another member. How unintelligent of me.

But I have to say that your link is very slick. That article is sourced to Infowars.com. The occupy website it links to states this.

The American Federation of Teachers Local 1839 fully endorses Occupy Wall Street. In solidarity on behalf of our Local, Ivan S. Steinberg, President AFT Local 1839 William Calathes, Executive Vice President AFT Local 1839

.

They support OWS, not the other way around. Try again.

infowars?

ETA: On the same website you linked it says this:

Users of the OccupyWallSt.com website flooded the page on which the announcement appeared with comments, many expressing discomfort that the leaders of this “leaderless” movement were forming bonds with outfits who have aggressively supported the Wall Street-financed Obama administration.

It looks as though people are not liking this endorsement even within the OWS folks
