You've just proven yourself to be a complete moron. He was a protester himself so how can other protesters be blamed?

I'm glad you are okay with shifting the blame from the guilty officers that will most likely only be suspended to further your agenda, which honestly is increasingly amounting to the equivelance of a 2 year-old having a temper tantrum.

Boy, Popsmayhem, your agenda and role here on ATS becomes more clear as the day goes by. The marine is not going to die. Why don't you get informed before you come blazing in here with stupid thread titles like this?

You appear to be mad about this.
That's understandable, and completely normal.
But...
Are you positively sure your anger is pointed in the right direction?
Is it really possible that This man did not go out there (after work) of his own volition?

I just can not get over the fact this man survived two tours in Iraq
but gets maimed in oakland!!!

If there was no OWS this marine would of never been out there and would
never have gotten injured/ almost killed or even worse DOES die.

The OP's post is very insulting to this marine who was just wounded in the line of duty. Unreal, the low levels that some people will go to.

You win the award for the most ignorant post of the day with this one.

Mods...do what you must with me, but I had to say it.

Does it matter who the blood belongs to really? Good guys or bad? It's still blood, and that road to Hell was paved with good intentions, just like the metaphor.

As I said before... If this country wasn't so f'd up there would of been no reason to protest... Can't you see that? Think about what brought the man out in the first place. No protester had a gun to the man's head. He did this willingly. Just as the cops beat him... willingly...

Maybe you are just jealous that this guy stood up for what he believes in and you aren't willing to do the same because you're chicken...

Excuse me if I'm "jumping to conclusions" but I'm just trying to analyze what the *#@!^ is wrong with you...

Scott isn't going to die. Doc's say he's no longer in critical condition but fair condition. He isn't out of the woods yet, but he is in a medically induced coma because his brain may be hemmoraghing and it would no doubt hurt like hell.

He wasn't hit in the head with a rubber bullet like some people say, he was hit with a tear gas canister fired from a grenade launcher. High velocity metal will crack your head open.

I do think the police has caused a huge error in dealing with the crowds and it was only a matter of time,
now the protesters have a name they can show support with, if the poor man dies it will only be worse for those who are being protested against,

i feel this has played into the hands of the protest organisers as you now have an example of corrupt orders being used against vet's or inoccents which is non just

TPTB and the Police do not want a martyr for the movement, it will make the movement stronger......

Are you for real? Do you think about what you post at all? I'm guessing not. You haven't got 1 single clue of what you're on about. That is a fact.

I can't even be bothered to point out just how you went oh so very wrong, because you obviously won't be able to understand me.

The scary thing is, is that there are people who agree with the OP (starring and flagging him).

They walk among us.

What brutality was used? I do not view the police methods as cruel & savage. Less lethal is still lethal, I get that argument. At the same token I could be in Iraq in a dark mud hut and see a man with a dark object in his hand not obeying directions in arabic and still raise the dark object towards me & use lethal force. Only to discover it was only the koran, and it would be justified. So we can not take liberties on saying what happened on the ground because we were not there. I am not apologizing for the police action that took place, nor the tragic injury of one of my own. I just don't see it as brutal.

This was the most disappointing thing...

Funny how none of them are saying anything though...

Bovine excrement!

People are responsible for their own actions. No one dragged him out of his house and put him there in the protest.

What? How is this even comparable?

Does that mean I can shoot a metal canister from a high powered launcher at your face since you do not think it to be brutal?

Please...

Hopefully he'll be just fine.
BUT IF HE DOES DIE!!

well at least he died for the OWS cause.

You OWS supporters should be proud of yourselves!!

It is OWS protesters fault for this marine getting injured!!

STOP PUTTING BLAME on everyone but yourselves!!!

You guys started this and if the vet who survived Iraq dies,

BLOOD IS ON YOUR HANDS!! HOPE YOUR HAPPY!!

Are you just a troll or what?!

You have major issues if you think it is the marines fault for being shot in the head.

That is all.
