For the longest time I focused all of my interest on the end of the world, I watched doomsday after doomsday come and go. I became more and more anxious waiting for the big one. I could feel it coming just like a lot of people. Something was going to happen! Dates came and went, nothing.....

I became depressed, I wanted something to happen, ANYTHING!! something to wake up my fellow man and make him go SEE!!! We need to fix this!! So that all of humanity would come together into one mass of helping hands, fixing the world.

Nothing happened...

I began to realize why I so wanted to see it happen, I wanted us all to experience something so horrific that we would have no choice but to admit we have been wrong in how we do things and have treated this great planet of ours...

But nothing happened.

Realize that there will be wars, earthquakes, tsunamis and asteroid impacts. These are guaranteed to happen. Some within our lifetimes, and some in another.

Mankind will continue to struggle on,the planet will continue to turn, and no matter what happens, it is how you react to it that counts.

The end will come for certain, for you, for me, for everyone.
That is guaranteed. It is a part of life.

Live in the NOW, do not let the world get you down. Because if you let it, it will.

We are not at the end, we are just starting on our journey as a race, the human race. Cycles end and begin again, that is how the world works. The Mayans knew it and recorded it.

Happens every year, are you suprised? You can read it on any internet site, or major city street corner church. In the end we are still here barring a major celestial event such as a meteor or titanic earthquake scenario in which case you probably wouldn't live long enough to talk about it. In any case, predictions are just attention-getters and ways to sell promotional materials for whatever zealot or website that is peddling it.

we were supposed to have something happen on Oct. 27-28. where is it?! like the other dates,we come & go with no big event.

Like I said above, just one more in a long line of hyped up BS stories to scare the crap out of people and try to draw people into a declining religious dogma system.

Here is a link to the event you were asking about, not that it was that big of a suprise.

i actually want something to happen, not in a bad way, but, just to justify all of this..

Why would you wish for a doomsday to justify fear mongering predictions? That's like saying that I wish there was a car crash every second so that I could prove that Fords kill more people than Chevy's.

prayer is powerful, its been proven to work

Oh please, enlighten us on this evidence of yours, I would be delighted to hear it; as far as I've researched, only about .0001% of prayer has been linked to any unexplained events without a tangible explanation. Links?

the next big date is NOV. 11. when that comes and goes without incident, then what? this brings to mind the old crazy guy standing on the street with a sign over his shoulders saying 'the end is nigh'! why do we have to be so paranoid?

The same thing will happen that happened on the 28th, and the time before that, and the time before that........
Nothing. You will continue to go to work, pay your bills and put gas in your vehicle. If the end of the world actually does come, I do believe in the interest of public panic you probably won't be informed about it until it is already too late.

the comet is here folks, and just like elinin, ain't nothin hapenin.
so,having said this, all past predictions about bad stuff hapening to the earth hasn't happened. is niburu really coming?are the sumerians, and the bible correct?
i don't know,just wondering.
any thoughts?

Well, it's just the same vicious cycle, it's just the predictor that changes from year to year. Each has their own agenda for control or greed, and in every case we continue to exist, to survive and push forward trying to determine the meaning of life.

My suggestion is that you don't put any faith or substance into any prediction because they will only make you paranoid and repressed. You will second guess yourself and others, you will question your beliefs and your fears, you will become what they want you to become......Controlled.

Just relax, forget that people NEED the world to end to justify fairy tales and just enjoy what you have while you have it because before you know it, you will be gone and this fleeting existance in a meatbag casing will be no more and all that will be left is the impression on others that you leave behind.

So what would you rather give to your friends and family? A jumpy paranoid person who thinks the end of the world will come every year or every few months, or someone that goes skydiving, mountaincliming or deep sea fishing? Take pictures, live and love, and forget about all the fear.....life is too short for predictions.
