" Alright, since it's become part of the topic of the post, my opinions on abortion (just to keep things straight). It is MURDER. Period. No debate. No one has a choice to KILL another person, just because it isn't convenient to them, or whatever reason, to have a child. Life begins at conception, and thus each aborted baby is denied all of their rights. "

Yes , thats about Right . Some will argue with you over that , but it Is REALITY .......Bravo !

Of course they're pro-choice.

If they actually pushed legislation to ban abortion, then they could no longer count on those single-issue voters who love fetuses and hate children.

Since when has "pro-choice" been a requirement for being Republican? I know people who are quite vociferous Democrats yet are anti-abortion; instead, they'd prefer adoption.

Ronald Reagan was himself very public about his anti-abortion viewpoint. He also had a straight and level head about him when he was elected to public office: he understood, as he should have, that it was not the right or obligation of the government to tell individuals what they can and cannot do with their own bodies. Government's responsibility is to protect its citizens from threat, but not necessarily protect its citizens from themselves.

Reagan managed to oust the great philanthropist Jimmy Carter....
