trust me it can still change peoples perceptions and thoughts, even if they dont take it seriously..
it does have a lot more reflects like continuing to raise the issue and put it in people minds, making people laugh at gaddafi and less likely to feel sympathy, making the issue trivial.. the list would go on

think about it. people may be getting in big trouble for his death,
any coincidence they make articles making light of the issue like this?

Alright, i do understand your point. I have to say that i am making light of this as it is the Sport.

To some of you who have seen my other posts on Gadhaffi, you will know that i actually support his removal based on my own experiences and those of people i have met in Libya over the previous 2 to 3 years.

I do not support the manner of his execution (just wrong IMO) and i do not see the need to further demonise him. I also genuinely worry for the future of Libya and its people.

However, that is straying off topic. Like i said at the start of this post, i do understand your point and agree with you about the MSM in general. Just not about the Sport!

All the more reason this could be true. I had a crazy aunt (delightfully crazy) who was beautiful, an alcoholic, but a fun one, and who traveled the world. Anytime she was anywhere in the Middle East, she dressed as a man (in their garb) so she could do whatever she wanted, as she was accustomed to do. You know, drive around, go to bars, go out at night, all the stuff she would do.

May not have been a woman but he sure was gay.

I had to laugh at this until I went and searched for a photo of Gaddafi in a beard. He has a very spare beard and faint stash in some of the photos but nothing more than that. NONE with full beard. It DOES sort of resemble Chaz Bono in appearance of facial hair. They could have been hormones. Google gaddafi and images you see an array of colorful outfits, hats and some poses with arms flying outward in a very effeminate fashion. Now I am wondering myself. Check out these pictures.... looking for an adams apple.

Edit: I like Chaz. I have nothing against her choices but you have to admit, this is one homely woman. I think she WAS intended to be a man after all but there was some mix up at the factory. Lady in Waiting has me thinking. That is another reason why the charade may have begun. It is easier and far better to be a man in that society. I wonder how many more men in those countries ARE women?

There will have to be official confirmation of this before I believe it, BUT:

Did any of you look at that photo of Gadaffi reportedly having an object put in his tushie? (He is clothed in it, thank godness). But when I saw it, it flashed through my mind that the curve of his booty looked like a woman.

Just a little odd. Maybe MSM will comment on this as fact or fiction today. As of now, I don't really think it's true. (But look at Chaz Bono ---- it can be done). Just sayin'.

Yes, they did it then. My Aunt made friends in Tehran, and they were women by day, and men at night. The Shah was in power then. At night they would dress up like men and go out. She even brought me back one of those outfits she wore.....a long white head thing, with the black band that goes around it. I would wear it outside sometimes, and play in it. ha. She also would do the same in Baghdad.

She didn't spend a lot of time in the ME, she loved Europe. But oddly, she did eventually die in Tehran. Food poisoning, they said. Mother had her body shipped to NY, and she had her ashes brought to us by UPS.

Wow! How interesting and sad at the same time. Shameful but what a story to tell. Your aunt sounds like she was a fascinating, clever and adventurous woman. Total package - no pun. That was very disrespectful but at least you got her back.
