Well that is a pretty smart girl if you ask me.
I wonder if the police will charge her with driving offences? haha, only if they have a low quota.

Saw that on the news myself.
My favorite part....

"You gotta get here quick! ... because I know my mom is gonna be pissed at me."

"my mom is going to be pissed at me"

So cute.

I'm sure glad she didn't crash the car.

That was my favorite part too - I was dying laughing.

Also when she was all cagey and said - My mom's car went across the street "on accident". LOVE when kids say that to cover their you know whats.

Bless her heart! OMG, if that were my daughter that had gone through that, I would feel guilty for the rest of my friggin' LIFE!

I was led to believe that a 5 year old actually DID drive a car, like shifting and all that stuff to actually save the day... not release the brakes to "save mom" and ending up on the neighbor's lawn and call 911 cause the idea turned out to be bad... come on... is this really a story?

Its not like I'm being a douche but... a 5 year old releases the brakes, calls 911 and gets air time on the news? And ppl go like "awww so cute she tried to drive the car"... my parents back in the day would have wooped my little butt...

what call to get her i never go no call . right.
and it is possible for a 5 year old to drive. when i was five i drove moms vista cruiser two miles to local store and bought a big glass bottle of coke i wanna say or 64 ounces the one they made back before 2 litres . i made it all the way home and missed the driveway and ended up in ditch . man them old telephone books were thick

Bless... maybe she had been reading Danny Champion of the World. Admittedly this was perhaps the most short lived vehicular quest I have heard of, but at least she gave it a shot eh?
