I think it says a lot about the direction in which the country is headings..
Consider this....
"As ratified by the States and authenticated by Thomas Jefferson, Secretary of State:
A well regulated militia being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed
In no particular order, early American settlers viewed the right to arms and/or the right to bear arms and/or state militias as important for one or
more of these purposes:
deterring undemocratic government;
repelling invasion;
suppressing insurrection;
facilitating a natural right of self-defense;
participating in law enforcement;
enabling the people to organize a militia system
A foundation of American political thought during the Revolutionary period was the well justified concern about political corruption and governmental
tyranny. Even the federalists, fending off their opponents who accused them of creating an oppressive regime, were careful to acknowledge the risks of
tyranny."
Wiki-2nd Amendment
Well.... some would say that we are in a moment of a "Revolutionary Period"
Well.... some would say that the current administration and even the previous administrations have been leading to a tyranical take over of America
Now, consider this....
"The number of violent crimes in the United States fell 5.5 percent last year to the lowest rate in nearly four decades, according to FBI reports,
perplexing experts who expected crime to rise during a period of economic hardship. Violent and property crime also have experienced long-term,
sustained declines across the country, with violent crimes dropping steadily in the 1990s after a spike the decade before."

So, this would imply that the reasons for the increased support for the ownership of handguns doesn't have anything to do with needing them for self
defence against eachother....
Now, consider this....
A tyrant (Greek τύραννος, tyrannos) was originally one who illegally seized and controled a governmental power in a polis. Tyrants were a
group of individuals who took over many Greek poleis during the uprising of the middle classes in the sixth and seventh centuries BC, ousting the
aristocratic governments.
Plato and Aristotle define a tyrant as, "one who rules without law, looks to his own advantage rather than that of his subjects, and uses extreme and
cruel tactics—against his own people as well as others".[1]
wiki-Tyrant(s)
Election frauds, and unmoral practices of campaigning and playing on the ignorance of people can be seen as illegal... But i wouldnt go as far to say
that it has been practiced
Has the government practiced extreme tactics? blackwater, tsa, homeland security, anwar awlaki(sp?)...
Have they practiced them on other other people outside this country?
I guess what my point is....
Is that it is obvious that the culmination of the actions of the government will have a backlash
Do I think guns are the solution? OF COURSE NOT
This is not a war of brute force, this is a war of psychological tactics...
The time will come that this will be realised, and the same tools used to gain support by the current and previous administrations, will become the
same tools used to combat them...
Hence....ats, infowars, and all the other supposed 'truth' telling media networks...
I hope people wake up, and figure it out.... That, yeah, guns and brute force can be effective... But, are they really conducive to resulting in Life,
Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness
Give up the ideology that Guns will save you, or that it's even feasible....because it isn't....
Learn to forgive, and find solutions like gentleman... We are evolving people, would you like to be a part of it?
Well.... you wont bet around to see it through if you choose to bare arms and decide to make actions of extremist fashions.
Remember, You live by the sword, you die by the sword...
Live through your words, for it is the voice of reason that brings forth justice on treason, for we are the fruits of the season, and the fruits of
our labor shall be our saviour...
You want to change things, educate people, enlighten them... dont frighten them, so that they think the only means of bringing forth change is through
force, because i will tell you this... there's no weapon that will prosper, for it's the words of wisdom that will last longer.
