The article is self-explanatory, what does everyone else think about this? Good or bad?

This reminds me of the Sixties when women were burning their bras. The only difference is, these Yemeni women are putting their lives on the line, not just their philosophies.

I wonder how many people appreciate what the Arabic peoples are doing ?

They face more than pepper spray and short term arrests.

I also wonder how many people on this site go over to Al Jazeera English ?

I say how can a question even be brought about this, yes its good. According to the islamic traditions woman wear it as a choice and it is not a law in their faith, as time has passed the dominant man has tampered with this god given free choice and have brutally harmed their woman for not wearing it. Tis not the mans choice, its the womans choice. They are indeed brave to do as they are doing and as with any revolt the better intention always prevails. I hope if these woman have to physically fight their dominanat men about this that american government ( which loves to mingle in others affairs) will arm them as they armed iraq agfhanistan libya, o ya and let us not forget we armed israel and countless other nations. My thoughts and hopes are with these woman in the now and the comming days,

Context is missing around it, so I don't have an opinion.

I would like someone to tell me what is up with Saleh and the gloves all the time.

Sadly is just a gesture and it will stay like that, history of the recent events has shown that western involvement in liberation in the pursue of freedom has achieved none for the womens in this countries, actually they are more oppress now that they were when they had their so call dictatorships and fundamentalist Islam

Afghanistan, Iraq and now Libya, the first two has gotten from bad to worst when it comes to women and religion the last one will be no different.

But their governments are "friendly" to the US and that is all peachy.

It was never about freedoms and never will be.

Sad.

The OP suggestst that this action is "self-explanatory."

I would suggest it isn't. The action is missing context, and inserting Western cultural context onto it to make it seem like it might be like Bra-Burning is just manipulation.
