Well after I saw them yell down John Stossel I turned my back away from them. After seeing Peter Schiff talking to some of those people, I saw that the OWS was a no libertarian fly zone and has reaffirmed my postilion on it. I believe in capitalism, they don't. They believe more government is the solution, I don't.

These are my personal beliefs on the matter and its become obvious the OWS has taken a partisanship position that are against my beliefs. I'm not going to debate my beliefs at the risk of flame war and derailment. Just saying how I feel and what I see.

This is WHY I dislike OWS! (Note: the references below).

The thing that gets me is the fact that a lot of people who are against OWS just assume the protesters are against capitalism. I don't see it that way. What I see is a group a of people outraged by what some greedy folks have done to capitalism.

Do you really think the 1% are capitalists ? They'd be communists if that's what it took to hold onto their power.

Capitalism has been the best / easiest system for them to work in. These people are opportunists who will do whatever it takes to satisfy their greed. They have been around for centuries, operating under whatever system they can manipulate.

The action by the OWS protesters IS NOT anti-capitalist. It's anti-corruption, and anti-ignorance.

Well, if the Occupy Wall Streeters start demanding that Capitalism be torn down and replaced with Socialism I will be against them The problem isn't Captialism, it's when you start socializing it that sucks. I'd much rather give housing and food aid to citizens that need it rather than these bailouts we are giving the top 1 percent any day of the week.

It is not that I protest a protest. It is how that protest has developed into a communist, union, free loader banquet. There is such a thing as decency and law abiding action in a protest and not destruction of property and disregard for people’s lives. The filth and squalor which is left for others to clean up is not decent and you very well know it.

The point has been made by the protesters and backed by our government as being their right to demonstrate. Now let the same government do something about it. Instead of curbing the violations of the greedy Wall Street thieves by emergency laws, this same government feeds the very Wall Street thieves with the taxpayer money. We all know that these guys are thieves so where are our great leaders??. .

In my opinion they should be OWH. Occupying the White House who bailed these guys out wrote the laws that enabled them to do it like the Glass/Stiegel act that was repealed. Occupy the Federal Reserve who is in bed with the banks and is owned by the banks. But they won't do that just like they do not protest against the WH for the ongoing war for killing American civilians in foreign countries all because BO is in office. If all this was happening under a republican president there were be blood in the streets over it. The doves have become quite the hawks under BO. Like queen Hill said we came we saw we killed.

Most of the protesters are followers. If one says to jump, the rest jump! I agree, they need to be protesting the WH or the Federal Reserve. I have said that all along. It all seems to go in one ear and out the other. I have asked protesters why they protest WS. They tell me that they're all linked together, and that’s where everyone’s at. Are they serious….?

personally I think people just like to protest no matter what the issue is. I am part of the "poor" population, I work a ton of hours a week, pay my taxes, and don't have a ton of money left over. I do not believe anyone even the government owes me anything. Sure there are alot of corrupt people and corporations out there but alot of these people worked hard to get their money and to think that they owe to people who haven't made as much is ridiculous. I work 50 hours a week and also trying to play a pro sport so all my other time is spent practicing, I'm working hard to get to where I can get paid to do what I love but I dont expect to get to the top without alot of hard work and sweat. I was hearing also that the protestors are paying homeless $100 a day to be in the group just to look like more protestors, as well as the people doing the cooking and providing food for everyone in the group are starting an internal protest. I saw that a breast cancer shirt to raise money with the slogan "Feel for lumps, Save your bumps" is also getting protested as well as Halloween costumes by a college is also getting protested. People just flat out want to protest. Alot of times I want to drop alot of people off in third world country where they can't go down to the nearest wal-mart for groceries or stop off at McDonalds for a hamburger and see how long they would last and get some appreciation for what we do have here. It is not perfect by any means but so so many people just take for granted the things we can do here.

I agree. Some don't have a clue what life is all about. You take away their laptops, computers, Iphones, etc, etc... and they wouldn't know what to do with themselves....

It seems to me that most of the folks bashing OWS are making the argument that life is good for them, and it is strictly because they work harder than others, are morally superior to others, make wiser choices than others, and are just plain better than others, being rugged individualists who did absolutely everything on their own, owing nothing to the efforts of fellow citizens.

To hear them tell it, you could plunk them anywhere in the world flat broke and they'd be upwardly mobile in mere days or weeks.

They seem to believe they have an inherent immunity to bad luck or catastrophic illness striking their family.

Those they look down upon so harshly are lazy, filthy, druggie commie/socialist freeloaders who lack ambition, morals, and a work ethic, solely responsible for their plight.

And they have the nerve to call OWS supporters me-centered.

I'd laugh if it weren't so...words fail me.

I do agree that they are right in one aspect: OWS isn't addressing the root cause of the mess we are in.

The root cause is the ridiculous notion that there is a right to unlimited individual wealth. So long as we allow the pursuit of wealth without limits, there will be poor, there will be famines, there will be corruption, and there will be war.

Wealth does not cause, nor create Corruption. Absolute Power does.
To propose capping Wealth, you are limiting an individuals rights.
Funny, as you claim rights are trampled on, your solution is to trample on others rights, because they are not like you.

And no, people like I have been given no handouts, have worked hard for a long time, have been careful on my funds, not wasted money on crap and are successful and prosperous.

I have done this in about 6 different places throughout the US. I expect others to do the same. Not look to leech off of me because of this or that.

I do not, nor have I ever looked down on others.
I do not pity those that do not have what I have, because I know that if I can do this, so can they.
