They need to take a page out of the Occupy Phoenix Protest and make friends with some veterans willing to stand between the Police and the Protesters with AR15's. I guarantee you police won't be shooting folks with anything let alone a rubber bullet in Arizona .. not with trained soldiers with military grade firepower between them.

The long road, of facing up to the facts. Seems alot harder, than denying the facts. at first

Always knew it would come to this. People need to understand that the only thing these bastards understand is violence. With their actions this week turning extreme, the time for REAL action is at hand. Its going to be a long ride from here on in friends.

Actually this instance is good evidence why your claim is false.

"Astroturf" campaigns tend to not only be small (your money can only spread so thin, even if you have a lot of it), but the actual funding is pretty easy to trace. Further, astroturf efforts go to great lengths to protect their investment - it doesn't do to have "your" protestors bludgeoned into a coma, after all.

Like the tea party. Most Tea party rallies were generally very small, the funding was easy to trace, and the police turned a happy blind eye to the presence of weapons, the assault of counter-demonstrators, even open threats to the lives of members of government.

When the police come down like this... it's pretty clear evidence that the people getting hammered don't have the support of major powers. They don't have strong influence at their back.

As for your claims that it's "just an effort to get Obama re-elected," well, that just demonstrates that you really know absolutely nothing about what's going on over here on my side of hte political divide. The people in Oakland are getting their faces stove in, and he's smiling and cracking jokes at a $7,000-a-plate fundraiser. They're protesting the influence of big banks and big corporations, and he's sucking money from them, happy as a pig in slop.

Yes, most of the people in the OWS movement will probably end up voting for him anyway. Why? because there really isn't a good alternative, chief. The Republicans are worse than his sorry ass. Even the local demigod Ron Paul offers nothing of value.

There are no concrete suggestions being accepted by the political elite in Greece,Spain and Portugal.How do you explain all those people on the streets?This thing isnt over,it has just begun.Nobody is speaking to the political elite,they dont listen and they dont care.This is a coup.We will remove the political elite not convince them.More people will protest,strike and come together and reject the system in America when austerity hits hard.It has to be peaceful though.Hearts and minds.

It has to be taken to them, the system is set up so that violence wins, they know it. After the system has been broken, then we can talk about community based peace, but the system must be destroyed, and you cannot destroy something using peace.

The situation in the video was peaceful as far as I could see it.
Even in more violent situations the use of rubber bullets on such close range is inappropriate.
