SCARY as heck, but if this is not a preview of the CHAOS coming to America, i don't know what is.

we are one step away from these MOB riots turning into full blown looting arson & martial law, imo.

in America, nobody wants to work anymore, they just want to protest, get high, and bring the world down with someone to blame for it all.

That's nonsense. People would love to work and hold down a job of value, the vast majority want to contribute to the betterment of society - Even weed smoking hippies.

The problem is such jobs are scarce and most people are forced into meaningless jobs in meaningless societies.

It's the people who cannot see the materialistic and pathetic nature of our societies - so for example, you - that are the problem. If you enjoy being a slave then that's your issue.

Alot of talk lately, about Tea Party vs OWS.
But when did you see any of this at a Tea Party rally?
Nancy Pelosi stated that Tea Party scared her.

But THIS she endorses?

Our world is so messed up.

the second video looks like everyone is having a fun parade.... also your nickname describes you perfectly if that is what you think about all of the protesters... so tired of seeing people who have no clue judging people they do not know when they do not understand what is going on....

When it hits you hard enough you will realize what is going on and you will either lay down and take it or you will be right there in the streets...

The evens in the USA are following blow-by-blow the same events that preceded the French Revolution in 1789 and the bloodbath that followed.

Then you are one of the ones they are protesting against...

Actually it is America who is bringing "the world" down. And you are blaming these guys for that? At least they have the courage to stand up and face "their world".

vancepetrunoff.zenfolio.com...

I think the real problem, and the excuse to go in, is the sanitation problem. And That's all.
An opportunity of understanding was missed here. If the city was worried about sanitation, there are ways to deal with that without inciting a conflict.

Take a look at the varying signs, and activities. This is a diversified group.

I've noticed that too. I wonder if it will continue along the same lines?

The things the people did during that revolution were horrendous. But at the same time, I find myself sitting here wondering if radical change is possible without such events?
Change is never easy, whether we are talking on a smaller personal scale or bigger national (or global!) scale.. chaos injects itself between the cracks to destroy what was and make room for what will be.

We love to say we want things to change, but then panic when the pain of that transition approaches. We want the benefit- without the risk and loss that it costs.
I'm remembering every time I had got pregnant and planned to do it without drugs, all natural, and then always got to a point I was begging for an epidural (or a hammer to the head, whatever...) and being told it was too late for that.

Not true.

I know some stoners, they tend to be very intelligent people and they don't mind working, they just realize it's all kind of pointless because everything is so #ed up so they don't really want to.

I don't see many fat, game show/stock market watching, old people in wheel chairs collecting their guaranteed government checks and stock dividends in the mix.

Its not really a total society breakdown. Its small numbers. People aren't eating the young. Its a scuffle. Its not a total breakdown in society.

Few months the occupy movements will be gone and forgotten.

Just tell how this can happen within perpetual economical decline, corrupted government, and fraud that rules financial world.

??????

Get you head out of the clouds, it can olny go worse from now on if nothing changes.

there will just be a lot more people with criminal records. it might look noisey and messy and alot of trouble but it is a tiny amount of people protesting out of the general population.

these little protests will be tolerated or some time. many will loose interest and leave. many will end up with a criminal record which they later regret in life.

if any of the protests get out of hand they will be shutdown immediately with full force.

the majority of the population could not care less about these protests.

i am not knocking them, its just how it is. for the thread to say that threre is a total society breakdown in oakland is ridiculous. I am sure life will carry on as normal for the majority of people in oakland on Wednesday.

You didnt answer any of my concers. How people can lose interest when unemployment is skyrocketing and bankers continue to steal your country's wealth (entire world in fact).

how can people loose interest? well lets see;

1. boredom
2. fear
3. getting arrested.
4. weather
5. not having a bed to lie down in.
6. frostbite
7. flu
8. getting whacked with batons
9. burning eyes from tear gas
10. tired, hungry, beaten, sick

i have said before. this is a tiny percentage of the main population protesting.

Can we all at least be honest about the fact that there are two distinctly separate groups that support Occupy?
Group One: Wants change. Is frustrated by the foreclosures, the bailout, the burden of student loans when they are unable to get a job paying more than 8 bucks an hour, the unemployed, and the severely underemployed. They are also agitated by the "let them eat cake" attitude of many at the top who do not seem to understand that real standard of living in this country has declined for most of the people who live here.

I get it. I hear them. I even think many of their complaints are valid and that change is needed though I am not convinced that this is the way to achieve it.

Group Two: Wants anarchy for some reason of their own that is beyond my capacity to understand. They want to toss the baby with the bath water. They have a limited ability to process cause and effect and look at the long term ramifications of actions. For some of them this caused them to make choices that they now want to blame on others. They have not improved their understanding of long term ramifications of actions since making those bad decisions so now they make an even worse decision to sign on for anarchy or socialism because they don't actually get the ramifications of that either. Some of them are just super bitter. Some are in a misguided attempt to recapture their protest filled youth, and some are just so alone in a society that has failed them in terms of family and community that they just desperately want to be a part of SOMETHING.

Group One would have a better chance having their legitimate concerns listened to and addressed if Group Two wasn't a part of the equation. Sure, group two adds numbers, but they also add all the wrong kind of press. And how many numbers have they cost the movement? They are the reason I am not backing it, that much I know for sure.
