Quit being such a crybaby!
I'm just kidding. You're right. We as a population are becoming more and more evil. It's sad that society seems to be evolving into two radical sects. Those that are blood thirsty, and those that aren't. Reminds me of the late 60s.edit on 25-10-2011 by Evolutionsend because: (no reason given)

This seems like it should be in the religious forum.

Although I'm not a religious person....I completely agree with you on the issue of compassion. Compassion is one of the many things I have been speaking to my family and friends about my entire life. Realizing that there are those "who could care less" about the impact they have on others can be energy draining and saddening. I gave up trying to figure out humans on a large scale along time ago...it's pointless to give so much of yourself only to be drained of every ounce of positivity within you. My belief is if I focus on myself first, hopefully others will follow or at least think about how they view the world and their fellow humans and the impact they make on the lives of others. Setting an example as we were taught as children is still the best medicine IMO. The problem is that some choose to set bad examples (greed, violence, ignorance, etc.)...reason why many things don't ever change.
Although there is positivity for every single one of us...some just don't get it and never will. Maybe some do not deserve to see things in a positive fashion....I dunno...just a thought.

Yes, and I think our own facility for compassion is about to be tested in the extreme.
If world chaos does shortly ensue, then we will all have a choice: Love thy neighbor as thyself no matter the cost or side with those that will delight in self-serving mayhem.
May we be strengthened to make the right choice. Peace.

Without the religous overtone.....You are spot on.
As a species, we tend to attack before we try to understand.
It's sad but true.

There is one thing you need to realize and that is people will only believe when they are struggling. After it's all over they get up and they play all over again. Only certain situations can trigger change. You can preach to someone for days about jesus but all you really can say is I told you so. Let people struggle cause trying to rescue people who always are in the same predicament and doesn't want help will only bring you down at some point. People will be people and in their own learning process they will find compassion. Some people just want to make money but me I just want to learn how to be all that comes with being love not loved but love.
