Hippies - particularly those that protest and don't pick up after themselves.
Tweakers
Bankers: I really don't have a problem with them, but everyone else seems to, and we're going to need more support.
and anyone else we can find a reason to blast.

The hidden wiki is a website on the deep web (aka hidden web). The dark web is something that needs a special browser to go onto, as the major ones don't go to the links. To access it you need a browser called TOR. The deep web is used for a lot of illegal activity, but because of the TOR browser, and other anonymity programs, it is very difficult to find who is accessing the site.

What happens when you use those browsers, is your pc goes through another pc, which goes through another and so on. Because of all the proxies, it makes it very difficult to say for certainty, what PC has gone to the site, opposed to when you go to a normal website, you can be tracked VERY easily, by both your browser, and ISP.

I have been to the deep web before to check it out and after browsing the hidden wiki, it seemed at first glance to be VERY easy to find kiddie porn websites (I did not go to ANY of them myself, but quickly and easily discovered links that claimed to go to them). A lot of stuff on the hidden wiki seems to be for show however. From what I hear, the deep web has more data than the web that is known about by the average person. Most of the sites however, are not advertised, are very difficult to find, and you need to be given permission to view them.

The deep web isn't all bad though. Its just another spot that people go to, to be anonymous (since 4chan isn't TRUELY anonymous, since your ISP knows you are going there. It has discussion boards, and a lot of the stuff that you can find on the open web, just with the added perk of nobody knowing who you are.

If anyone has any questions about the deep web, just ask, and if I know the answer, I will let you know.

- The 40 websites being taken down is a HUGE step in the right direction, and is a great way for anonymous to put themselves in a good light. They have a bad reputation from the MSM, (even so far as to be called a terrorist organization) and its things like this that will hopefully make people realize that they want what everyone else does.

This is true.

However - as I've been recently assigned to an expeditionary security unit that is authorized to deploy CONUS - I tend to get a little bit irritated at the idea of people running around enacting mob justice on impulse.

My family and brothers who have served did not do so to see us tear each other apart and void the very principle of the Constitution that an individual has rights even in the face of overwhelming public disapproval. I do not serve to see that happen, either - and if deployed to quell such shenanigans - will hit it hard and without remorse.

If we allow ourselves to devolve to such a state... we may as well just pull out all the stops and declare it every ideology for itself.

It's, actually, humorously ironic. I am continually fascinated with apocalyptic scenarios and the ways in which society could collapse and how to prepare for it. In my mind - it's not a matter of if - but when. I also have a rather bitter disposition toward people, in general - I'm something of a trusting idealist who has ended up on the raw end of things more than my sense of justice likes to accept as reasonable.

And, here I go, staunchly trying to level heads to prevent the type of chaos I, honestly, live in anticipation of.

Anyway - musings and personal bio aside;

Mob justice is always cool until you find yourself on the wrong end of the mob for whatever random reason (and when it happens, it really doesn't matter why or what - you're outnumbered and outgunned - also known as violently fornicated).

It can be, but like I said, it isn't all illegal stuff. There is some good content there. It is a great place to go if you want to talk about controvercial topics without big brother knowing who has said it.

And like I was saying, the sites on the hidden wiki is only a fraction of what there is. Those are just sites that are advertised. The deep web is used for all sorts of black market stuff. From illegal software sharing (just torrent stuff) to buying and selling weapons.
