I'm lucky that I live in a state that keeps the child sex offenders behind bars after their prison terms are up. I worked with the psychiatrist who helped write the law. He knew you couldn't treat it out of them, and once they offend there is no going back, they will offend again.

But he also talked frequently about the large number of pedophiles who never touch a child, he said that those people were able to seperate fantasy from real life and didn't pose a danger to kids, despite being kiddie porn users.


As far as blessing my stomach goes, thanks, but 3 years in forensics was all I could take. I switched to pediatric oncology after that for a couple years, needed to be around some innocense.

You know, one of the more interesting aspects of this story is the sophistication of these people and how they use technology to stay anonymous. A good conversation can be brought about by that alone. As well as how law enforcement should deal with it.

Maybe you should take your own advice considering the discussion you have brought to ATS.

Took an Irish lit. class. One of the stories was called 'Little Black A$s' about a donkey. I said something about never seeing a black donkey. The next time we had class he pulled me aside afterward and told me to be careful Googling the name of the story. He Googled it, went to images and was a bit shocked. Cracks me up.

Actually you are refering to predators, they are the ones actively seeking children to do them harm.

I'm also referring to people that view child pornography and help give it a market. Buying or trading pictures makes one just as complicit.

As far as the predators go, fine by me if you shoot them all, hell, you can borrow my gun and use my ammo. Since we know you can't treat them, and since they acted once the odds they will again are ~100% But to say we should kill anyone who ever looked at child porn is a whole different animal.

I didn't say anything about killing them though I suppose I can understand how you would make the assumption I support it.

I know from one to one interviews that porn was the only release some of them got, take away the porn they may be more likely to actually go out and harm a child since they have no outlet. It could be the opposite of a gateway, it could be the need for release. So the question is, still, do we lock up those who just look at the porn?

Yes, we do still lock them up because as I said they are just as complicit in the rape, molestation torture and sometimes murder.

And as a healthcare professional I have to almost admire the control those folks show, because sex urges are the hardest to supress, it's the basest of all human urges.

I have a rather strong libido but I don't go around raping every woman that I find attractive. I don't hate these people for their disease, but I sure as hell don't respect people for not committing vile acts, especially against children.

Pedophiles and ephebophiles shouldn't be killed or locked up for thought crime. Hell I imagine murdering people sometimes. They should however be locked up if they ever commit even the slightest indiscretion, including looking at pornographic images.

People nowadays often feel that they have been dealt out of the political process. There is very good reason to think along those lines. The Anonymous group will find favor with those who have lost faith in the political process and who see it as a way to have the real wishes of the people acted upon.

The funny thing about pedophilia is, the richer you are the easier it is to do it and not get caught. Taking down internet users viewing child porn only shaves off a few perverted chronic fappers trying to collaborate together on the net, not the actual people that pay to have sex with a child through an organization or anyone who publishes pictures of nude children for money.

You think maybe your raising your AR15 at a scapegoat instead of the real people who promote and commit these acts against children?

What do you think emotionally harms a female more, getting paid to have sex at an early age or being brutally raped at 18 years old? Why aren't you out there killing rapists too, what is so special about child porn?

Child porn is just one of those overly demonized things, as you can now tell by having your kids felt up when trying to board an airplane in this country, overly demonizing things is bad, this same reasoning is why homosexuals are beaten. This is the moral of the story and why everyone is giving you hell for that statement.

Anonymous did a great favor by reducing the availability of it on the internet, but it doesn't solve your problem anymore than killing another kid or pervert in a basement does. Things that are illegal or rare are viewed as commodities just like anything else, child porn/abuse will exist (in one form or another) as long as people keep desiring sex.

I don't think it is part of any righteous path to look at naked kids on the internet, but it is not something that deserves this much hatred towards. That being said, the more subtly and aggressively we take care of this problem of human nature (child abuse), the better, though I think it lies in changing people, not murdering them.
