Do YOU have any opinions on this matter or is phages opinion automatically YOUR opinion?
If your opinion is always going to line up with your messiahs then why do you need to be here?

It is obvious that we are not in any real danger here and these sorts of threads are usually blown out of proportion a little but it is still interesting don't you think?

in some defense.....people who have been here many years get to know who to turn too for expert opinion on these things. if you want to know about these things, phage is the man. if you want to know about earthquakes...puterman is the man. it takes a while to get to know these things.

Ummm, I suppose you are talking about another member named phage or something similar to that name because the one everyone here is talking about is no expert and I would caution our other newer members not to take his or anyone else opinions (and that is exactly what they are) as gospel. He is notorius for is mastery of the Google search engine and that's about it.

Please exercise discretion when listening to anything this person has to say, as with anyone else for that matter.

Remember, it doesn't take a scientist to use Google and repeat back the official story verbatum.
It is rather easy to do and quite effective at winning popularity contests amoung our weaker minded members.

i must say i do find your comments a little defensive. i am 43 y/o.......im not looking to idolize anyone, and im not looking for a fight with you.

not everyone can know everything about everything. i do agree it doesnt take much to copy and paste from google to look like an expert, but i have never heard him to proclaim that he is an expert. i think these are just people with a passion for certain things and they have taken the time to read and learn, and the day you lose your passion for something.....well it just leaves an empty feeling of wasted time.
