ISLAMABAD — Afghanistan would support Pakistan in case of military conflict between Pakistan and the United States, Afghan President Hamid Karzai said in an interview to a private Pakistani TV channel broadcast on Saturday.

The remarks were in sharp contrast to recent tension between the two neighbors over cross-border raids, and Afghan accusations that Pakistan was involved in killing the chief Afghan peace envoy, former Afghan president Burhanuddin Rabbani, by a suicide bomber on September 20.

"God forbid, If ever there is a war between Pakistan and America, Afghanistan will side with Pakistan," he said in the interview to Geo television.

Maybe it's time that the U.S. withdrew it's military forces from Afghanistan and let Karzai deal with the Taliban on his own, or possibly a Pakistani government that would view Afghanistan's abundant resources as ripe for the picking and launch it's own military campaign against the Afghan people.

Why America thought it would be an exception to the rule when it comes to Afghanistan i will never know, America has utterly failed and wasted obscene amounts of money to do so...perhaps pride or stupidity is what keeps American leaders from accepting the fact that they will never 'win' a war in Afghanistan.

It's time we stepped out of the ring and let them put the gloves on and duke it out...

Our guys/gals need to come home...

But we know "SOMETHING" will come up and we will be back at war in a few months telling more people how they should run their government just so the 1% can continue profiting off bogus contracts paid for by the Amarucan people's tax money. All the while we can't even run our own government efficiently enough to control the corrupt people put in power that have handed the nation over to the banks and big business.

But hey we are always right because we have everyone's (in the 1%) best interest in mind...

Right Mr. President?

That's because the waste of money went to bad contracts and was paid for by the people, not government so they are just trying to milk the cow as long as they can. IMO we would of never helped out if we didn't have something to benefit from it. The government has their true agenda and then they have their curtain agenda, of which we will never know about.

There is really no gain except for the military industrial complex though, America has only secured densely populated urban areas just as the soviet union did, but they have absolute no control over the vast rural areas in Afghanistan, they either avoid trying to do so simply because it is so futile or attempt to bribe warlords.

So Afghanistan will get nuked along-side Pakistan? Makes sense to me!!! This war should start so that it could be ended quickly.

And before all the "well China would get involved yadda, yadda, yadda" folks come out. NO THEY WOULDNT.
