As I understand it--about 30% of the Palestinians would prefer to live under Israeli rule. It would probably be higher if they were truly confident their answers on the surveys would not result in their deaths.

I see evidence here of a created conflict.

Someone is telling the Palestinians that the "religious Jews" hate them. Someone is telling the Israelis that the Palestinians hate them.

This girl also believes that a true believer "ascends" when he dies. That is a religious belief, not unlike that held by other Judeo-Christian religions. And there is good evidence available that it isn't true.

So you have both religious beliefs and rumor mongering from the haters contributing to the decisions these people make. These people are being set up to kill each other.

In some ways, it is amazing that more people don't fall for this pitch. It is actually difficult to convince people that they should be hateful and desire death. Most just won't go for that. But the few who do help to create a giant situation for the many who don't.

To quote the famous Rambo "you drew first blood." Israel as reacted just like any nation (less so that the US) would react in similar circumstances. I guess, for example, if the US had missiles launched from Mexico into Texas by Natives (who's land you stole!) would be so understanding and loving towards the Natives.

If Israel has become militant, it's not just by chance. They reacted to external stimuli.

Your same thinking can be said for the Arabs too. The Jews moved in people, kicked them off their land and put them in refugee camps. Who drew first blood? its not like the Arabs all moved to Europe and kicked the jews out of their homes.

Seems ridiculous that some many should be fighting over the Temple Mount when it is merely a disused landing pad for UFO's.
